How's this for bad luck?
My brother and I couldn't get my old 700W PS to work.. So I ordered a real kick@$$ modular one last night for $115.... then I had a brainstorm this morning and tried it again and it worked?????
I couldn't modify my order so I'll have to return it when I get it in a week. Well alteast I'll have a newer and quieter CPU heatsink and fan.
In OS news, I still wasn't able to reinstall or repair my original XP on a 1TB drive, so I'm stuck using XP64 on a 400gig no matter what I do with it. But on the plus side the XP64 recognizes the 6 gigs of RAM I've shoved in there. LOL!!!

I think I'm going to shoot myself. I'm writing this from my phone, again.
I ordered 2 new parts, a new gfx card and cpu fan and got them today. I'm not even going to get into how lazy UPS is.
I had a lot of trouble removing my old fan, infact the chip was glued to the bottom with the thermal grease. That's right, when I removed the old fan it took the cpu with it. I really hope that didn't damage anything.
It took a while to shoehorn my new giant fan, the gfx car was simple.
Computer doesn't work anymore. Everything turns on and lights up but I'm not getting a video signal at all. So I tried plugging the monitor into the MOBO, nothing. I put the old card back in, still nothing. I'm stumped.

Simple.. I broke my CPU when I removed it to install my new fan. Just got the replacement today.

I got burned out doing my Mars movie, so now I've started working on this.
