Units From Wyrmshadow

Wyrmshadow, I had an idea which I would like to share with you :-)

Iam creating this scenario where the U.S. is able to build the M1A2 Abrams MBT, the Italians their C1 Ariete MBT and the British their famous Challenger 2 MBT.

As far as I know there ain't any follow ups for those tanks. The Americans will use their M1A2 Abrams tanks till 2050 and by that time the British need also a new tank.

So..If we look into the further, probably won't see any major tank battles and there will be a need of smaller tanks for Urban Warfare.

Would you like to create such further tank? A new tank, combined developed by the U.S. / UK / ITY, Produced somewhere between 2015 -2050, smaller than a M1A2 tank, heavily armed?

If not, which can also be an answer...to bad for me. Just an idee...

I even came up with a name :-)

For the USA: M1A1 Panthera MBT (available in 2040)
For the UK: Merlin MBT (available in 2015)
For ITY: Abarth MBT (available in 2015)

See it as a what-if thing...just like your Panther 3

Looking forward to your reacting...

Without meaning to suggest that Wyrm make any such thing (I've long respected his approach to making what he wants) I'd agree that there is a dearth of "near-future" units - it's why I started the "AVATAR Helo" thread. So maybe this is a time to shout out for our excellent unit makers to ponder at least until the game's nominal end in 2050.

Best,

Oz

:goodjob:

Well...I will leave that to him :goodjob: We all have seen what he can do, so we will see....maybe he needs some distraction after the WWII reviews :goodjob:

Anyway..I like the Avatar thing!

So you want me to stop what I'm doing with my plans to flesh out modern tanks with the models I have at hand... and invent 3 new futuristic tanks with nothing to go by except some vague names?

Do you even have to ask?

Wyrm, I have to say that I hold you singly responsible for getting Jupiter the Bringer of Joy stuck in my head. :D

Gawd, its just like college. Everyone always blames the polack.

bored, so I threw two airplanes together.

You never know when a "Eureka!" moment is going to strike, so here's to boredom's inspiration  - And, I like it. A particularly fine alternate-timeline beauty.

so the both of you decided it was a good idea to quote the entire image in your replies?????

Up all night putting this together

time for sleep.

edit: stoopid me, I spent all night doing this, and now I just realized they used a T-72 for the chassis, not a T-80... oops. Gotta redo it when I wake up.
