Played 6 turns. Minor problem is that HC is at peace with Izzy and is beginning to stack troops on our border. We're building cuirassiers (9 so far) so we'd probably be ok. HC is pleased so we might be able to beg a peace treaty. Do we want to delay 10 turns?
T0. 720ad.
Make a deal:
Whip LH in Keepak. Start BM in Rusty, BM in Amphib and BE in capital.
740ad. HC asks us to declare on Izzy Belissima, we decline.
The completion of the Taj Mahal inspires a golden age. Its a posh grave, no doubt of that.
760ad. Sell paper to HC for 350g.
Uzbek becomes buddhist,we have a spare BM . BE becomes Attacko.
Time to swop civix: caste, mercantilism and theocracy. Run starving scientists in Evidence.
780ad HC is at peace with Izzy Belissima.
Gunpowder is in, start optics. Knights transform to cuirassiers.
800ad. Not much
820. Still not much. HC is building BMs .
840. Optix>PP. Start a couple of caravels.
HC is building a stack on our borders. Each problem is a solution waiting to be found:
860. GA/GS next turn, sack scientists in The Evidence, revert to slavery, whip caravel in Keepak.
880. We are even less alone than we thought. Egyptian caravel turns up on the east coast. Hello Hatty. We get a west coast caravel. We get a (93% likely) GS.
Make a deal with Hatty:
GS bulbs 1730 beakers towards astronomy.
900ad. End of a golden era. Rustenberg is hit by a monsoon. The evidence is clear: forge building and reckless deforestation leads to global warming. Mother Nature's revenge: forge is washed away in Rustenberg.
We celebrate with yet another trade: PP to Izzy Belissima for engineering for faster horses.
That's it really:
Spoiler:
Isabella has economics but has adopted mercantilism. We could perhaps aim to finish astronomy, trade for economix and maybe look at free religion, free market and open borders for intercontinental trade.
Fact- Scouting indicates HC's SoD is in the border city of Carib and consists of 9 "decent" defenders, 3 "cute" defenders and 7 "LOL" defenders
Fact- We have 15 Cuirassiers. Good start but we needz more!
Fact- We have a fck load of excess happiness and population working temporary tiles (farms) -> ie. a LOT of stocked production
Fact- The cities of Fact, Uzbek and Awesome Venn can be heavily whipped with very marginal impact on commerce.
Fact-Time is of the essence, Ragnar already has Military Tradition, we need to attack very soon
The evidence is clear- The slave fest is overdue. Let's get whipping!
The evidence is clear- The cities of Fact, Uzbek and Awesome Venn will be 2-pop whipped every 2 turns ad nauseam.
The cities of Rustenberg and Amphibia will also be whipped, but less heavily.
The evidence is clear- 10 to 15 Cuirs can be pumped out in the next 4/5 turns, I say we attack in 4 turns (who says less? )

Should we trade Economics for Gunpowder+Optics to Izzy? (I'm assuming it's possible, but I haven't tested it) That way we time our meeting with the other AIs with finishing Astro and switching to FM.
@Folket: about getting Libraries in tundra cities because of free specialist, I don't know if it's worth it now if we're about to switch to FM. All depends on wether we do soon or not I guess. Then again with intercontinental TR these cities might actually produce some commerce...
Other than that, I think we should finish Astro and then straight to Rifling.
lurker comment:
What about declaring even earlier in order to lure the HCs stack out to the open? Easier to kill them without defensive bonuses from city and then siege can be flanked so need less units to kill them. Problem is they could move to a hill but still better than attacking them in a city. In open I'd say you're strong enough to take them out next turn if they come out of the city, some of them will of course stay in that city.
