Note to all playing the currently running MP games:

I'll be updating our games to a stock v36 version now that I'm on top of some tasks here. This will take effect just before the turns I'll be playing as they come up. This means you'll need to update the full MP SVN and use the mod folder as it will be there.

I realize I'll need to update us with the old additional civilizations in the extra civilizations mod folder and I'll also have to update the user settings there.

And this brings me to a second point.

I think it's become clear that since both games are running through the same mod folder, the BUG options in the user settings will be the same for both games. As players, this means some of us end up using the first game user settings for both games and some of us end up using the 2nd game user settings for both games but however we've gravitated, both games use the same settings unless we update the settings file each time we switch which game we're playing a turn on.

So...

What this means is that it's probably a good time to come to a full consensus on which game's settings we'll utilize.

My personal feeling is that storms are annoying the **** out of me and whichever one DOESN'T include storms is the one that can go.

That said, if someone that has their settings to the options we would prefer would post their usersettings file here I can simply use that for the core MP SVN when the update takes place.

Does all this make sense y'all?

The Massive MP uses these:

Bug Options:
Terrain Damage
Archery Bombard
Storms
Multiple Religion Spread
Opportunity Fire
Influence Driven War
Religious Decay
Detailed Rev Index Values
Sea Tunnels
Ranged Bombardment
Spy Promotions

I have no idea what the Another MP game uses, but I'd like to know before choosing something. For now as I only play the Massive one, I'm inclined to choose it over the other.

But TBH, the options I really care about on the Massive MP are:
- Terrain Damage, because it makes the game a lot more tactical;
- IDW, because I have no idea how is it to play without it anymore, LoR had it, and I've been playing LoR instead of Vanilla BtS for several years (until last year when I started playing RAND and now C2C);
- Detailed Rev Index Values, because why not;
- Spy Promotions, because they deserve promotions as any other unit.

Well, there is the UserSettings folder in the "US MP game2 saves" folder that is supposed to have all of the correct settings, including having no storms (I think, not sure anymore). I have poked at a few of the files therein and cannot find which one controls storms though.

It's still being committed. And it's probably going to be quite a few hrs before it's complete. I'll update here when it is ready to go.

We'll have to check the user settings during our turns and make sure they're what we want them to be. I'm not sure who the first player is on the US game (and thus the player who has the power to make bug option changes) but I think it's Koshling. And the main game is Whisperr funny enough.

Can I just take my turns now under the old way?

EDIT: I think I will since I am last on the turn list that way the new way can start with everyone.

So the new way will start with Whisperr on the Main game and then Koshling for the US game.

EDIT2: I would have finished out the US game too but its not my turn. Still says Thunderbrd.

Actually the new turn on the main will have to start at least with my turn (and possible another player if they get the update done by then.)

The 2nd game still says its my turn because I'm still in the process of committing. Nice to know that another commit taking place to the SVN at the same time you're making one doesn't stop the one you're in the middle of though.
