If these plans end up being put into motion Bush will probably be very unpopular, but will it be the right move? I was hoping for a blockade instead combined with air strikes using any means of munitions necessary.

So what defines top-ranking? Is this even necessarily a source within the Administration? I think there were plenty of people outside the Administration who could have told you, before alQaeda took down the WTC, that the Presdient wanted to invade Iraq...that doesn't mean he would have done it with different circumstances.
