Mostly comedies, really, and larger independent blockbusters like Napoleon Dynamite and Donnie Darko, but I think the easiest way to distinguish Hollywoodic butcherings is to look at their remakes of foreign masterpieces. I think that even the US-produced Texas Chainsaw Massacre's remake was hollywooded up and ruined.

Really? Who are these "people"?. As just one example "we of the people of the country" did not want the bailout of Wall Street. Despite that, the politicos in Washington made sure it happened - the politicos on both sides of the aisle. George Bush. John McCain. Barak Obama. Nancy Pelosi. They all made sure that their bankster friends made off with the money. This "collective we" is a pretense that this thing called democracy is actually a reflection of the will of the people. It's not at all. It's a way for the Powers That Be to pretend the people actually have a bit of power.

I have knowledge. You want 20% unemployment for a decade, how does that make the poor better off. Those were the choices. Everyone knew those were the choices. The people who don't should never be permitted to have a say in anyone else's lives.

And you completely fail to understand the situation. The alternative is a Great Depression. Which would steal 100 times more from the poor than the bailouts. And you know what? The costs of the bailouts are trivial. Because all the money is paid back.

I am amused that you missed my insinuation entirely.

In order for me to steal from you, it reqiuires you to have some kind of property. Otherwise, I can't take any property of yours and forcefully make it mine. My point was in regards to your property: You were unsatisfied that this "theft" happened, and I merely point out that you shouldn't be unsatisfied. If the bailouts hadn't happened, people would have a much harder time stealing from you since you would be so much poorer.
