We knew that beforehand. What's interesting based on the results (the red trickle) is that the electorate doesn't seem to want that. Ideally it'll be sorta like Benghazi-lite - where even a buncha the R's (voters, not Congress-idiots) are like "really? this is what you're doing? smh"

During the lead up to the mid terms the GOP shouted out: Crime! Inflation! CRT! blah blah blah... Now that they are in power in the House, their #1 priorities are investigating Hunter Biden and Nancy Pelosi.

We'll see if that is true. I hope not. They have a slim enough "majority" & enough R's in blue districts that might not feel safe supporting those "#1 priorities" you mentioned. I'm probably being overly optimistic though.

It looks like Colorado's 3rd is going to a recount. Heavily-armed theocrat Lauren Boebert leads by 551 votes, inside the margin of 0.5% to require a recount. Either way, the result won't affect control of the House. It does tell us that 163,758 Coloradans actually want to live in Gilead.

This race is so funny. When you combine the Republicans dying of covid, people getting cholera from visiting her restaurant, and her husband acting like a complete ******* in their home neighborhood, those three things probably account for why she didn't win comfortably.

So after literally cheering on inflation for months they are now going to completely ignore inflation and go after the Democrats instead. Sounds like a recipe for being rewarded with big seat gainz in 2024.

And it'll be playing into the Dem hands for 2024. Make people even more sick and tired of hearing about it so that when the real campaign rolls around there is nothing Trump could possibly say that won't produce eyerolling in 70% of the electorate.
