v 26, and above ALL Bugs/Crashes reporting thread

I can't find it. If you know where it is feel free to chnage it to a more reasonable size.

Dosan Seowon is in the main Project Hades file: caveman2cosmos\Assets\Modules\Praetyre\Project Hades\Buildings\CIV4BuildingInfos.xml

Out of curiosity, have you ever heard of Agent Ransack? It's a free download program that is really good for searching through a lot of files. I've been using it extensively to find stuff in C2C since we have so many modules and files.

There also is a free one from Microsoft, call grepWin its really fast, i used to use wingrep, but grepwin is alot fast and easier to use.

grepWin huh? You showed me wingrep and its been very useful but yeah, slow. I may have to search for grepWin later.

In your case, since you have Visual Studio anyway, you can just use the recursive file search that is in that. It even lets you save file paths to search (separate sets for each project you use VS for), so you can set up searches (e.g. - sourceCode and Assets say, which are the two things I mot commonly want to search)

Nope, it just like it doesnt happen, each time, its NOT repeatable??

I've autoplayed 10 turns from that save with no problems. I can see a **vaguely possible** explanation in the code, which I'll address, however, I am skeptical it really explains things, but it's the best I can do without being able to reproduce anything myself.

SVN: 4028 hangs on startup at loading XML (Uncashed). It was working until I updated it this morning my old revision was SVN: 4012

Well can you fix it then? :crazyeye:

Try deleting the files in the cache folder to see if it helps.

No good unfortunately.

Edit: I updated to the next revision and somehow it works again. :crazyeye:

I can't see what is wrong on that line. I fix I tried also did not work. :( Now I can't see much directly in front of me anyway as I am getting a migraine. Can someone else have a look. Thanks.

Hm, it mysteriously vanished now for me. Weird. :confused:

@Koshling:

Here is BBAI log Part 6. More slow progression through the Ancient Era, and the Carthaginians are starting to weapon up. I don't like that.

I'm getting murdered in terms of demographics in my current game too. Although I am by far the most powerful on my home continent (late medieval, 27 cities) the demographics show the lead civ to have over twice my output in bnoth GNP and goods. The Bbai logs show it's tech rate is till twice mine even at this stage (it's at over 10k per turn, I'm at about 5.5) and it has every wonder you can imagine (oxford university had gone before I was within 7 techs of education for example). I suspect I'll still be able to win eventually, but I've never had the ai retain such a substantial lead so deep into the game before.

A little lead can become a big lead with all these positive feedback sources! That'll be a tough war to come there it seems. I think I'd like playing a game like that and the one we're in is too hard to say if it will become this, but even though we're crippling our neighbors with rogues and ambushers, they're still gaining on us in a number of ways so I'm not going to be surprised when an off shore civ emerges as WAAAAAAY ahead of us.

New bug, SVN 4034: Da Vinci Tank has a bug somewhere, probably in its graphics. Here is what I have found:
  • Start C2C and go to the Sevopedia. Click on Units and this error appears:
    View attachment 334102
  • The unit list stops with the Cyborg. I guess the Da Vinci Tank is next on the list.
    View attachment 334103
  • Go to the Technologies and click on Clockpunk. If you mouse over the Da Vinci Tank (second unit on the list), the game crashes.

The other Clockpunk units are fine, so I think the problem is just the tank.

I wanted to check this out this evening but couldn't find any reference to recursive file search in VS. How do you start it up from VS?

Worldbuilder is no longer working for me with SVN 4034. All the icons are gone on the left side when in player mode and in map mode terrain is empty. I clicked on the unit edit button and got this error message as the game crashed;

Runtime Error!
Program:....er's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe
R6025

-pure virtual function call

The Expansive trait is one of the best, especially in the ancient era. It's the +4 health. At the start of the game almost all cities start unhealthy by multiple points. The main exception is cities for Expansive leaders. Early health means faster early growth. More population sooner gets you more of everything else sooner via more production and commerce (and therefore more research points per turn). It also helps that it gives a production bonus for a bunch of buildings - the list is pretty long and includes buildings that are built a lot.

Or it could just be luck. :dunno:
