v1.983 - v1.483 - v1.183

Score doesn't count technologies only, it counts power, land, people, wonders, and techs (and maybe some more stuff I don't remember). But to me score is irrelevant. You could be much stronger than another civ but still be below in score, or have a big potential to become stronger shortly, but the score can't show you that. Also keep in mind that score doesn't include stability, which is a major factor in a civ's strength.

storms destroyed mongolians boat....

Yet a lot more soldiers than those invaded Aztez successfully landed.

The paper was knew in america very soon too, but in the game, they don't know this technology.

Nor does China 600AD (I guess that's good for balancing though).

Really i don't see why japan and khmer have the aztec score multiplicated by 3 in the game!

True. But if you play as Aztec and control most part of North America, you can double score Japan and Khmer by 20th C though (at least in older versions).

Nice new backgrounds for AI leaders

Question: what is the difference btwn the unlocked and normal version other than you can play 600+ civs in 3000 unlocked start?

yes Sk8er. Simply delete the entire Rhye's and Fall folder before extracting the new one.

Extracted files but cant find mod in main menu anymore, any tips?

Melpum seems to have resumed spawning in time to flip to the Romans. Was this intentional?

^Still haven't seen any responses. Anyone else having this happen?

I've never seen Melpum flip, unless it was through culture. Usually the Romans will leave the Celtic city alone, move through their territory, and found in France. Once or twice, they'll flip it over time, but it's usually razed by barbs...

Yes. Rhye commented in the thread for 1.182 that he hadn't meant for it not to flip and would fix that in 1.183, which he did. It should always flip now; if it isn't flipping, you haven't updated to 1.183.

Edit: It's first on the list of fixes. "Milan now spawns and flips correctly°°"

Make sure you put them in the right place..

Should be something like this:
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\sid meier's civilization iv\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization

Ok but why computer never success to do it? I don't want to have an easier game when i play aztec but one more challengig game when i play european civ.

The AI behaves stupidly in extreme situations. The more a situation is deviated from "normality", the more stupid the AI plays.

As Mayans, I am able to sucessfully combat Barbarians even without the "fortify units on the tile which separates continents" exploit, and resist the invasion of the Conquerors.

The AI Mayans usually collapses before Atzecs spawn.

True. They usally get destroyed by the barbs in the first couple of turns, thats why i gave them more starting units.:)

So! to recapitulate, if rhye want to make a new update, there will be no major change, because the gameplay is now perfect! So i think it just need a little patch to reequilibrate some civs:

-I think everybody is agree to correct the viking bug.
-I think everybody is agree to make the mongolian stronger.

-For this there is few people agree but i demand to give aztec and incan JUST one or two techs and two or tree units more in order to make the game more challenging for europeeans and to be more close to the history.

So the only rectification is to put some units in some places(and technology if people is agree with my proposition for incans and aztecs) and correct a little bug for vikings. And maybe make that portugal don't become islamic in each game.

Perceval, I agree with everything you said, except for the Portugal thing, since it never happened to me.
However I do believe soon enough we'll have people requesting less AI-AI wars. From my experience China kills Khmer which isn't really historical, France is mostly 100% dead because Germany and Spain gang them.

Noooooooooooo.

-Percival, i like the Incan because if you tech them up yourself and protect them from europe, they can settle pacific islands and compete with japan. you might regret doing it though.

I don't want strong aztec's, but i do want native americans though i understand why they aren't in the game. I think the Aztec should be given more power against the natives, maybe a 20% bonus against barb/native units. this way they can focus less on the barb-stomp and more on building a nation. but even then, they will fall.

Lastly, I LOVE NO TECH BROKERING! I would sure not want it to change because no matter how realistic it is, i remember the pain of standard games where i feel good about myself having just gotten gunpowder while everyone else is researching guilds, and i have the ability to move forward... 3 turns later, they all tech each other up and everyone but me has rocketry. i hate it! it makes the game ultimately unfun, because i already know theres no way i could ever hope to regain any position at all from these AI tech-whores who i am now a stone age force to.
