vBulletin 3.50 is out

vBulletin v3.50 came out yesterday (finally!)

It's a major version release and contains lots of new features and enchancements. There is a plugin system that would make it much easier to install third party features (aka hacks) and we might install some of those.

We probably will upgrade the forum this weekend. I will let you guys know for sure by Friday.

The vBulletin new features (now I discovered what makes this forum reality) are, well, good. But I didn't understand what was that "Super Quick Reply" feature.

Maybe its like the quick reply, but it uploads the entire thread into your brain (broadband connection only im afraid) before you click on it, lets your brain come up with a suitable comment, then downloads it and posts for you instantly.

Actually, I am guessing it will take LESS than 2.x to 3.0. It's still using the same layout, etc, only some code is changed and pages are added. I doubt it will take more than 24 hours.

I'm not seeing that one. The closest I can see is this one

I have about 4 other forums I visit often. Only on one have I actually gotten past 50 posts.

Right now the tentative forum upgrade time is next Tuesday at around 9 PM EST. I don't think it would take longer than 4 hours.

This will be most excellent! The slowness of quick reply has greatly diminished the amount of posts I create. I've had to stick to only doing the most productive posts I could come up with.

Nobody said anything about thread admins. Inline moderation is just a faster way for admins and mods to moderate the forum, at least on IPB.
