VertNes-Worlds of Altor.

Thomas

You mutter a few words which hurt the ears of those around you. A patch of light forms over the dead man and takes his form. It screams "Untor no, no. You wouldn't.." then it disolves and you absorb it with your staff and hands. You take the reagents and start searching for the wand he menioned.

(would that be considered Necromancy?)

how much more powerful am i now that i've done that?

Skep, drink away!

*stretches out his arms and cracks his neck*

"If only there would have been another way.. well, at least this is a lesson that things are not always as they seem."

*heads over to the corpse of the mage and sinks his teeth into his neck, draining as much blood as possible*

*lets out a primal roar*

"Excuse me."

*heads over to where the candles are and takes one, puts it in his backpack*

"This might come in handy.. eventually."

You feel a rush of power consume you. Your eyes blaze with fire. You grow taller and look far more terrible than ever before in your life. Then you return to normal. Your Fiezarr has had a massive tempory boast that will not replenish when used.

@ Skep As there is no Fiezarr there is nothing to feed on.

OOC Yes thomas that was necromancy of the worse kind. You just destroyed someone's soul for power and used a New Magi technique. Expect Dalius to be baying for your blood if you meet again.

@ NWAG forgot to say but it was Dalius again foiling your plans.

You try to slip away but you have no chance the army is marching again and a man right at the very back catchs you. You are taken before Tarkar " Trying to chicken out hey. Well this is your mess and you are going to help me fix it." The order is given for you to be killed on sight if you try a similar trick. "Oh and boy magic won't help you. Almost all my soldiers were part of a army dedicatied to hunting magic users. They can see through most mind tricks and most of the officers are immune to magic." You get a couple of slaps round the face that knock you to the ground. Tarkar then punchs you hard it the stomach and has you taken away.

I tell Takar (at an appropriate time) two possible tricks to start compensating for the troubles I have caused.
1: Given what Dalius said to me (about taking control of Avalon), the New Magi could be persuaded to try and attack the Old Magi's prescence in Avalon (thus reducing their magical support). (I can argue to the New Magi, though I don't tell Takar that, that while Takar is insignificant, the threat of Avalon is too great. I also apologise to the New Magi for my actions if we do this)
2: On the basis of the situation being hopeless, one of Takar's soldiers can attempt a false defection. A single man is not much, and if it suceeds could be used to give the enemy false information.

I also ask permission to begin more divination efforts, on the basis I know where I went wrong. (In reality, I want to see if I can contact the Old Magi and arrange a defection)

"Blood with no power, how disgusting, but it is not a problem.."

*jingles his vials of blood*

"At least I still have these... and gnome, pray that the mage's soul was not as corrupt as his mind.."

" Very well get your friends to kill this Magus. I will put a two thousand Darai bounty on his head dead. Divine how many armies are following us and their composition and you may consider yourself forgiven."

@ Skep He has no need to worry about the soul. It gone all there is now is Fiezarr added to his own.

Remembering to shield his mind this time, Hakara does as ordered. He also divines the personalities of the commanders.

Erez

You spy a human town in the jungle only twenty miles from where you are. Only ten miles further on is a smaller village, which would be easier to raid.
I head to the smaller village, and using chaos-influenced fireballs to get them on the run, laughing evily at their silly attempts to stop me from the ground... Ruining their food supplies would be great with a fireball or two.

If I actually destroy and cause them some fear I will drop down from the sky and demand worship of Noki. Whoever say no burns.

NWAG

You see two armies following you both around twenty-thirty miles behind you. They have large blocks of pikemen followed by the ranks of swordsmen armed with bastard and longswords. Then you see three units of archers. And is that a unit of musketmen you see? Finally on the flanks you see the mighty Alvalonian knights, brave, formidible and deadly.

Erez

You swoop down towards the village chanting as you go. Your hell-fire has a devastating effect as it decimates all the village grannaries and now sweaps through the village, unstoppable. When you desend into the village they all convert and you put out the fire. You got lucky but you feel a huge drain of your power. You doubt you will ever be able to pull that off again.

OOC: Erez you got lucky and rolled a twenty. Don't expect that everytime.

I also check for the following:
-Magical support (if any)
-The personalties of the commanders (particularly poor or disloyal ones)
-Relative numbers (our army v.s theirs)

You see a few witches there to heal the wounded but no other magical support. Remember they could be shielded. You cannot tell the personalties of the commanders without entering their minds and if you do that you will give yourself away. Finally you outnumber them 2:1 but they outclass you 2:1 so your even in effect.

ooc:Wow awesome. Hey that means I got a village full of followers! Weee
ic:

"Good now. Your village is under my guarding as long as you worship Noki. Work as you did before. I will come here to sleep and feast every week to see how you are doing. Build a temple, as you possibly can, in the name of Noki. No need for a huge amazing one, any small temple would be fine. I am not an evil ruler, I am just passionate."

As I finish I move across the village grabing some begs with food, tie them to myself and fly away. I go to sleep somewhere in the middle of nowhere of the badlands. Not too far, not too close.

Not quite a village your fire killed a lot of them before you put it out. You have around 40 followers who are now staving as they have no food and have no time to do anything other than hunt and gather to try and survive the winter which is not far off.

Well 40 people will rebuild their village including a place to house myself.

Myself I will go to hunt large pray and bring it to them. They will cook it for me, and I will give them some.

Erez I need to know where you are hunting and hopeful what. All animals present on Earth are present here.

Well since I am on the border with the jungles, I assume nearby would be some sort og semi-large game (like forest antilop thingis). I could come at them from the sky, killing a few and bringing with me.

You fail to find any on your first two attempts. On your third attempt you find a small herd of deer. You desend and avoid detection but you only manage to kill one before the herd bolts. Enough to feed you for a day or the villagers for a day not both.

OOC: Don't forget the Chaos God is mainly evil rather than good but he can be both.

I have decided to do a big two week update in two days time. This means you need to post more detail on what your character will do over that two week span of time. This will bring us to the end of the month.
