I've noticed that the patch version 1 (presumably, to take the game to ViSa ver. 3.1) has a link available on the ViSa site, but I keep getting a screen telling me that a password is needed. Is it still being beta-tested, or did the password protection just not get removed before the link was placed?
Had a slight bit of difficulty with the installation until I did some further reading. It seems that I installed the very earliest version of ViSa 3.o and never bothered updating it - which made the patch installer unhappy. I did finally do that reading though, and in case anyone else is having the same problem, here's how I fixed it: I downloaded the newer version of the 3.0 installer and then followed the install instructions from that point, using the newer version of ViSa 3.0.
Haven't gotten far enough in the new game to try any of my items of special concern yet (migrants in particular), but that will come.

Why do you recomend extracting to desktop? The desktop is not a temp directory for junk files.

Why do you add clutter in file names? The v and the patch are redundant. The file should have been named ViSa_3.1.msp or similar. The overly complicated install and patch routines and the frequently weird file names gives a very unserious impression.
