-Unite all of Africa
-Unite all of the Islamic world into one Caliphate(wars with every major power as a result)
-Snag as much of Europe as convenient to allow me to win the VP race

I did play as the USA before in V3.0 - the story is called "Pax Americana: the Culmination of Manifest Destiny." I ended up conquering all of the Americas and much of Africa, Europe and Asia.

Might I suggest, if you play another one after AH, you try Japan?

Japan would definitely be an interesting choice, given it's in a similar situation to Austria, albeit much more secure given only Russia could really threaten it. (And even then that's not true in my personal copy, as I've made it so Manchuria's colonial and separated from Russia proper)

No problem! Writing stories is one of my favorite hobbies; I had a lot of fun with this one, but it just became too time-consuming and tedious - so many artillery were worthless.

Hmm, I could try that. I know Russia's not quite as strong as it looks(true to Russian tradition, any success a Russian AI has is purely due to manpower and not quality). Maybe I'll even amp up the corruption to make myself squirm a wee bit more.
