Summary
1)We learn RP the next turn. If we’re going for the ToE, let’s use it to go sooner towards MT. Anyway, all rivals are well behind in the tech field.
2) I have 3 galleons near Cadiz(in our borders with France); since we have a RoP with France, we could unload in Cadiz and send the troops in Bodo(isolated city) and even rush a temple there.

Good luck.

Question: I played a couple of my turns last night and was wondering if we're going to beat up anyone with that large stack of cavs? Spain looks like a nice target, and we're very close to a domination victory (almost 50% land, 71% population.) Since we have an RoP with France it's probably best to leave them alone for now.

Since we did 3 turns in 24h last weekend, I thought the game would be finished before I was back! It is so nice of you to wait until I was back! ;)

By looking at the save by :king: Alexander, I see that we have a RoP with both France and Spain, but we can break those treaties anytime (20t has passed since its signature) without ruining our rep. I think I said this already but Spain must have a lot of Ancien Cav and some Crusaders due to the wonders they built. I think France is a better target. If you decide to attack Spain anyway, just make sure to get ready for a counter-attack by 20-30 spanish units.

BTW, we have 57% of land, not 50% according to victory status screen.

my vote is to go after France :hammer: (if you haven't already decided)

Typo, I meant almost 60% land. Glad those treaties expired, now I know I'll go after France.

Good point... not particularly. We're at 58% now after capturing a French city. *yawn* Getting tired, won't be able to finish and post turns tonight, sorry.

Sorry... I doubt I'll be able to get in the rest of my turns today. With railroading and everything each turn can take a long time, plus some RL stuff. I'll post a turn log and save right now if TheNemesis666 wants to take it.

1
Declare war on France, capture 2 French workers. Large stack of weak French units show up at Bodo and capture it next turn.
2
Dijon captured.
3
Poiters and Bayonne captured, we're now at 59%.
4
Rush Harbor in Antalya, it needed growth.

Well, the party has begun!!! Kill a few units for me!!!

I won't be able to play until Friday (about 48 hours from now) and I'm up in lots of SGs so I doubt I finish my turns. If TheNemesis666 can't play it we could even move on to fbouthil.

Enemy unit's have nearly been cleared from the area now
EDIT: theres some slaves in Paris too that were hiding from the enemy and the way is now clear to the rail line. (EDIT2: now that I look at the picture again, there is still a musketeer threatening their passage)

Hum. I never thought I would get another turn. I wouldn't if viper275 did his whole 10t, I think. I do not know the good finishing strategies, so this may be a good practise. Here are my ideas:
  • Stop research all together. Increase lux to max score.
  • Build temples & lib in all cities that have not grown.
  • Set production to settlers & trade goods on our continent. Settler are to grab a few coast tiles if there are still some free.
  • :hammer: the croissant-eating people with berets. They deserve it!
  • I see we could do with a few more cav so I may rush a few on the conquered continent. The ones being built on our continent will most probably be too late.
Any other big finish ideas, anyone?

I haven't looked at the size of our forces, but make sure you don't run out before we get 66%. (we have to hold it in the ibt - I learned that lesson the hard way)

Go finish it up and post pics when you're done :D

Actually, I just opened CrpMapStats (recently installed) and we need 61 more tiles to win. We will grow by 26 tiles IBT and Joan would give Bodo (9 more tiles) for peace. We will grow by another 5 tiles in 1t leaving only 21 tiles left! Settlers should be able to grab the rest. Extra money will be used as garrison to diminuish flip chances. I will evaluate getting one more french city before peace as I cannot win this IBT.

This sounds like it is going to be the longest preturn I have ever played! :D

@fbouthil: Looks like you'll have the honor to finish the game.
