Walmart Madness

The point is not whether or not you think queuing for hours for a bargain is worth it (I would say it depends on your income level and the bargain in question). The question is whether you condemn the people who do. I find it disgraceful that so many people in this thread do and do so with joy. And what the hell is the problem with Walmart? From my short experience it is just a very large store that sells a large amount of products at a cheap price. The b*st*rds! What would you prefer? Tiny corner shops selling hardly anything at astoundingly high prices? There is a reason such shops are going out of business. Just because you snooty people aren't willing to spend your time trying to get cheap products (I bet you are willing to waste it playing what some would call stupid computer games) does not mean that a business should not cater for those who do. What exactly happened here? A woman who crushed under a large crowd who wanted a cheap DVD player. Unfortunate yes, but a condemnation on an entire society? No, of course not. There should have been more security to police the crowd more effectively. That is all. Just like there needs to be proper policing where any large crowd is gathered. If someone had been crushed during a peace rally, would you lot condemn the rally for happening? No, you would not. Just like you should not condemn this store for offering a bargain and the people who are willing to get that bargain.

You can blame the people that acted so selfishly for trampling the poor woman.

You can blame Wal-Mart and it's greedy executive swine for their lust for money.

You can blame anyone you like.

But the real villain is capatilism.

Are you referring to "comic book guy" again? You watch too much Simpsons man....nah, that isn't possible.

Actually, I had to search for the words for that one. I remember the basic idea of where it was, but just Googled it for verification.
