They are related but in terms of weapons and armour they are quite different...anyway it's your call.
There is another unit that I think could use some changes: the black guard (i'm not obsessed with the dark elves :) ).

Not to whine or nothing but on the top of my christmas list for wanted units is greater Chaos demons. It's been that since I first saw this mod.

Great Unclean One of Nurgle, No model springs to mind, big blob of green slime with hands, and a big smiling mouth.
Keeper of Secrets for Slaneesh, The minotour model could be modified, made pink.
Bloodthirsters for Khorne, another minotour variant, but this time red.
Lords of Change for Tzeentch, Thats a hard one, Humanoid bird, blue.

And not forgetting lesser demons. Plaguebearers, nurglings, Daemonettes, Bloodhunds(this unit does allready exist), Pink and blue horrors.

The Chaos army in the mod is very devoid of what makes the "bad guys" in WH so unique.

It's never too late to make a good thing even better.

Uhhh... those daemons are a pain in the butt - not just gamewise, but also modelwise. I think I could try to do one of those, but I don't see any point in doing all of them slaanesh&nurgle&tzeentch&khorne daemons.

That elven phoenix guard pic is good source - thanks.

In my mind the hordes of Chaos in the WH Civ Mod is not a unified force. They are more like a anarchic horde corrupting and swallowing up civilizations and races as they go, using any or all of their methods. In that sense it makes perfect sense to make all of them. It's only Tzeentch that can be said to have any grand plan, the rest of them are just giving in to urges or disease. There is even a fifth chaos force, chaos undivided. A little bit of all of them but without the specific greater demons.

I know what you mean with being a pain in the butt to make. I gave father nurgle/great unclean one a go. Besides 3d modeling aparently not being my thing, it just can't be pulled off in Poser. Needs some other program building the model from scratch. Not many angles, just a viscous slimeball.

Just started playing this mod. It looks fantastic! Are there any good maps for it, or just use random ones?
 
Someone started up this thread, there are other maps too, way back in this thread (page 70-80 something, I think).

I love the mod, it's fascinating. Just started playing it 2 weeks ago.

I have couple of ideas from my first hand experience of playing hte game

- distance awakening form domination so that you do not have dragons and great dragons one after the other in the tech tree
- add couple of good great wonders late in the tech tree (and some more discoveries). after some point in the game you do not have to spend any more % in research (well some civs have to if they want to get some gunpowder units etc).
- idea: high elven sea boat - spell tower
- is there a way to tell AI not to make anything which take 100 turns or more to produce? its frustrating seing how a one produciton city is building firestorm
- make dispel magic great wonder. make smaller dispel (50 %) small wonder
- speed up the game later on! maybe make those settlers/workers much more costlier!

hi, first post, awesome mod!!!

I wanted to ask if you plan to add m-units to this mod, I was thinking about the regicide games, maybe the kings could be a small group of units, like a powerfull general from it's respective army with 2 or 3 tough champions.

It's been a while since I played the tabletop wh game, I played it a lot when the undead were still 1 race, and not split into those egyptian style undead and the vamps, anyway an example of what I mean for the regular undead would have been Nagash protected by a couple of wraiths/mummies or for the Sylvania army: Vlad, Isabella and maybe Mannfred Von Carnstein on steeds. Yeah that would be awesome, maybe even add some stats that would represent them sufficiently like they are in the real WH world, like not all "king" units would be equally tough or strong. Vlad for instance has this ring that ressurrects him once every battle, and Nagash has his black armour, the book of nagash and his mortis sword. Of course these are just examples, I don't really know who the new generals are in the newer WH version or if it fits in with the direction you want to take this mod in.

I'm sure embryodead won't add munits to the mod, you'll have to do it yourself if you want them.

As regicide is half broken due to the stupidity of the AI, the less work spent on regicide the better...

its been a while since I posted on this thread, and I was wondering if there is a new expansion/patch comming up? And if so what are the eproximate release expectations?
 
Yes, there is a new update/patch/version on the works. I suppose some of these units will be included (as will -likely- atleast one new faction - chaos dwarfs :) )

Cool, I have followed your incredibly fast unit creation process though. You really are amazing :goodjob:

And do you know if we can expect the new update soon?
