Have a close look at the pics and try your best copying every detail and as many different Knights as you're able to recognize on them. And don't worry if you can't really make it fitting it can be polished up later still so no skin will be in vain.Thx in advance
 
because of the fact that i'm very bussy with my work..........i simple do not had any time left for making anything this mod............sorry..........it still will take a little time before i might have the possibilties to find some time again.

I will keep you informed.

yes i'm still intrested .. thats not the point...........the point is time . sure i will let you know when i have time again. Can take some weeks or even more. but in this case work comes first. I'm sorry that i didn't write anything before. I worked 14/7 so.......... was happy for just every ittle time to spend with my family

Ok, no problem there will be still a lot to do in a couple of weeks or even months. You just could have said that earlier cause we were wondering, but it's good to know now so no more bothering about the past.;)

Dont worry, everything can be polished and they only need to have the quality Ploeperpengel and me provided, shouldnt be so hard. and perhaps dont use too saturated colours, and before you add too many details, concentrate on those who make the skin look better ;)
 
Ok, I got some things done yesterday.

Mainly implemented the gfx for the religions (with some spacing change to the Religionscreen) and resources I`ve done before.

Added new gfx for some promotions (just prettied up the old ones for standardbearer, armystandard, musician and lord) and gave most of the techs unique gfx (thx goes to the guys from the WHFB mod for Civ3, cause I couldn´t find decent ones for the three monster things - so I "borrowed" from them).

I also addeed in my brewery as an improvement for barley (becomes available with - you guess it - brewing and works like the winery for grapes).


next things I want to do is revamp the buildings (get rid of all of those religious buildings - and the units that come with them, because we don´t have decent art for them, this would include the hero units - then add in just normal religious buildings like in the vanilla cIV) But I won´t do it if you guys don´t agree with it!!
I want to add some more buildings and change some names, I will come up with something tomorrow - any suggestions?

And I think we should get rid of the following techs: the corporation (doesn´t fit the fantasy theme at all!) and flight (for now, because we don´t have any flying units or other things that would come with this tech right now.

Don't get rid of buildings, we need them as placeholders for now, instead better scan the the graphicforum to find replacement or make new ones.
Also would be be nice to dip into cityarts, we could maybe implement some FFH has.

I don´t want to throw them out because they have no unique art. I want to throw them out, because I personally don´t like the way they are supposed to work right now.
OK, the way they are intended to work may be good, but atm I don´t see any sense for them, because the religion system doesn´t really work right now (or do you want to give each civ a specific statereligion in the new beta?). Because Elves adopting Orcs and Goblin Gods and then pumping out Incarnations of Gork and Mork seems rather ridiculous to me :confused:

I think instead of keeping placeholders we could strip down this version and then again add those buildings in, time by time, when they get a real function.

Or am I totally wrong with my points? Don´t know - maybe you got something planned. But OK for now I´ll just replace the pub with my tavern and rename some buildings. Maybe I´ll come up with some Ideas for new ones ;)

But what about those two techs I mentioned before? You wanna keep 'em, or not :confused:

You´ll have to give Workers the ability to build the Brewery improvement. I know that you know how to do it, but nevertheless, the lines are:

If your having problems with religion and you certainly dont want inconsistencies, then perhaps you should code it in so that the different factions found their religions automatically at a specific time. But leave the option to use missionaries, so that the spread of the chaos gods (or sigmar) can occur.

Ok sorry didn't have checked the techs yet. Was to busy typing hundreds of citynames anhd clearing out vanilla stuff of cityinfo.
hink you're right we should find replacements for these techs you mention but talk with Olleus about that I think he worked on techs before.

about the religion thing:
did misunderstand your intention I think. I don't like Elves praying to orcgods either so maybe we should do something about it. but I think you should coordinate with Olleus too about it cause I don't know if religion affect the pythonscripts and to what degree. Generally I support the idea cleaning up the xml a bit it's quite chaotic now

Think we should start the Religiondisscussion anew. I can't contribute to much to that cause I lack the backgroundmaterial for it. But there were many suggestions already posted in the thread we should take them into account and then decide what to do of it. If you want to dip into that I'd be gladful.

yep that is something I agree with.

is it possible to have the civs founding their respective religion as soon they discover the referring tech(no need to be the first to dicover)

Would you approve the idea? This would mean a different religion for every civ in a way. But to not overcrowd the Religionscreen I would like a generic religion for the civs not covered yet as replacement but different effects on every civ. Ideas?

Btw:Something like that was discussed before but don't know where to find the posts.

About magic, I now know how to implement new missions using the SDK. This means that we no longer have to use the cumbersome hack of promotions to cast magic spells. Now where did you get this from. Sounds interesting. Gotta link on work in progress or just a thought?

Edit:
This is the xml I worked on. the citytext should be clean of vanilla now if not report to me. Added hundreds of citynames just Arabya and Estalia I believe could use some more. If anyone wants to do that go on page 9 of this thread has Namelists, I'm fed up with that. But make sure to paste them next to the others not just anywhere.

The rest needs work still obviously. Cleaning up the other xml and Diplotext is desperatly needed! Any Volunteers?

And we need some more Flags and Leaderheadart. If someone knows where to get Warhammerstyle Art for that apart from GW online please tell me.
