Saved & shutdown. Hummel hadn't played this turn and didn't want to force a missed turn by leaving it up.

I gave instructions to all workers, so the turns were not missed. But, thank you - I should have said this before.

Aha, it was you who created that nice "Beyond the Sword has encountered an error, tell Microsoft?" message.

Had to reload prior to topas's turn, it failed to create a placebo autosave.

I got kicked out by BtS after finishing my turn.

Will play my turn again in a couple of minutes.

I had tried to connect while Topas was still in his turn, and I got the error message that says "Cannot establish a connection to peer Topas.... firewall...."

So I was able to boot Topas, crash BtS, and hang the server, all with one well-timed click!

... and I would have gotten away with it if I hadn't opened my big fat mouth

Honestly: I don't know...
I could log in and out without a problem. I also didn't get any error-messages.

James has paused 10 turns in a row. I think we should set him to AI. He is still able to log in any time but then his Civ is developed and we play faster.

I think that's fair.

Perhaps we should adopt a rule such that if any player fails to log in 4 times in a row, or 4 times out of 10 the last 10 turns, they are set to AI?

Do you 've war and don't want to make a double turn? Normally you can make it.
The play would be a lot faster.

I have seen some of your warmup-storys and to get no advantage I give you a view on my first two cities.

It was a classical maya-start. Both cities have build cheap granarys, so they can whip efficiently. The last technology I researched was writing and together with sailing I want to get some trade routes to other civilizations. Furthermore you can see that early cottages at the river push the research well (and they start growing now). If you wonder about the output of the field 6 from Tikal - that was the truffle-event.

That was the first and probably the last view on the maya-civilization. But I also will not look at your storys anymore.

I'am not alone. At the west side of the island you can find the greek civilization. Ex Tinkerbee, now AI.

It's a handicap to start alone, but it should be perfect for your peacful builder-heart.

Perhaps so we can increase the benefit of the multiplyer at small values.
