Warmup game?

Well, there can be nothing worse then losing control of your civilization to the AI for a turn. Luckily, due to some effort from DaveShack I have regained control and my civilization is back on track :)

Best of luck to you Topas!

Could we somehow manage to play faster? If we have to wait a full day per turn, there is not much left of the warm up idear of the game...

It's just DeGaulle who's letting us wait. He's probably still thinking about the perfect Cap-spot...

The game moves onto the next turn, regardless of the time left on the clock, as soon as every player has finished their move.

Domino369 is supposed to be De Gaulle, and has not been active on CFC since 11/22. I think the only way to ensure that civ isn't hopelessly backward in the game is to make it an AI. It will be easy enough to reclaim later.

Could be the best option to turn DeGaulle into AI.

DG seems to be the only one that did not found his capital and we have to wait until for the timer reaches 0h for the next round...

Domino can claim the civ anytime he returns.

I agree.

Any chance everyone else can connect for a bit of time over then next 6 hours from this post? I'm free.

Or, I'll be free the same time tomorrow.

I don't know correctly, because I've read that you scholdn't press enter, in Pitboss.
Is it right or can I press enter, when it's appear?

Go ahead and press enter - once you're done playing your turn.

If everybody is presses enter before the turn-timer resets, the next turn will come faster :)

The key thing you shouldn't do in pitboss is exit the game all the way from the escape key menu. Always choose "exit to main menu" instead of "exit to desktop".

The exit to desktop path has a bug where it leaves a port open on the server, and then nobody else can connect.

Is there a way to 'force-end' my turn without connecting?

The reason I ask: Sometimes I won't be able to connect for a day or two (which is fine - I've queued things), but there's no reason for the turn timer to wait for me if I can't connect.

What can I do to speed things up in this case?

In order to end it without moving, I have to connect :crazyeye:

What I want to know is, Is there a command I can issue, during my turn, that will tell the server that I'm done?... and will this command work over several turns?

Turn Timer

New turn tomorrow at 3:37 am

OK, I'm really confused about something here. I'm posting this at 20:53:00 EST (gmt-4).

How can the turntimer be showing almost 10 hours left, but 3:37 is only 6ish hours from now??

Is the civstats server registered to Pacific Standard time? Is there a way to set my civstats preference to Eastern Standard Time?

It's really not a big deal, I'm just trying to work this stuff out before the Big Game starts

The timer will end in 10 hours (from that point). When it does, it will be 3:37am where the host is.

Whenever someone connects to the pitboss the turntimer slows down (or even stops) a little. So the 24h-turntimer is more likely a 26h-timer.
