WarNes: Quick and Easy 1936 Nes

Well, it was all but an anointment ;) There would be no emergency election and the outgoing Prime Minister really had no say in the matter.

Diplomacy to certain parties to come soon.

Damn straight, just cause I bought off a few warlords doesn't you should get all testy on me Azale, I'm not bothering anyone legitimate for you to follow up on Never's old threats :p

The Japanese question will have it's answer in the same way the German one will.

lurker's comment: I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but an anointment is that thing where someone gets covered in butter or oil. ;) Though I guess that this is an emergency.

Stop your bickering for a few moments, please:

America would like to announce that they are investing into the Finnish Lumber business. Due to high demands back home for Finnish wood several American companies have been established near our Finnish counterparts to work in the lumber trade. Should war come to Finland and our citizens are harmed, America will take what action is necessary to ensure the protection of their citizens and investment is secure.

Thank you for stopping your bickering to listen to the message from America. You may resume bickering now.

Who said anything about war in Finland? Either you are getting paranoid like Britain (meaning: OOC) or are simply looking for an excuse to get a war. What happened to your isolationism with your invocation of Monroe Doctrine? You don't see European nations investing in Mexican Taco, Canadian Maple Syrup, Argentinean Beef, or Cuban Cigar businesses. Hypocrite.

What's this racket with America all about, anyways?

New Prime Minister means new diplomacy. Although we weren't a greatest fan of British diplomacy in the past year or so, thanks to Chamberlain, we wish to renegotiate with Mr. Churchill, perhaps he'll be more sensible than his predecessor. Please note that although Germany declared war on Russia as Britain suggested, but that was also because of Soviet treachery against the Reich, ironically also due to British fickleness, and on completely independent endeavor, which Britain simply attempted to piggyback on. Perhaps Germany and Great Britain has gotten off on the wrong foot. We wish to renegotiate our terms for a friendlier relationship between us. Perhaps Great Britain, with its people's history of excellent record on international politics, could help Germany negotiate for peace in Eastern Europe. Frankly, no one wants war.

We said nothing about war, America is making money pure and simple. The more trading partners we get the wealthier we become. But since you brought up the word, war, you are the one who must be nervous.

We have trading partners everywhere, Finland is our most profitable right now, sure Mexican taco's may the talk of LA but Finnish Wood is what is being used to contruct homes in America. And when Finland's wood is no longer profitable we simply tone down our operations there and increase operations elsewhere.

Bamboo! It's not like any endangered animal uses it as its natural habitat.

Yes but unfortunatly our animal rights movement over ruled us.... but we will still get your rice. ;) At least that is profitable too.

Like I said, we are trading with many nations....

Last day for orders people :)

3. To choose by or as if by divine intervention.

And since this is Winston Churchill, it's clearly divine intervention ;)

Waiting for a few more orders, and I can update :)

Few things to point out:

1. Yes, you did say war, and you made a huge not only economic, but also military, commitment over a speculation. I'm sure US Senate is thrilled and can't wait to pass that legislation. I have an idea for you: why don't you join League of Nations?

2. Finland and we are at good terms. Why would we fear war? But yes, we do not like war itself. Yes, we are nervous of war. Is not America? You talk as if you aren't afraid of war, or even reluctant to go to war. Your tone speaks more than your words, Mr. President.

3. Oh, yes, constructing homes at USA's current state. Shouldn't that money go to feeding the poor and creating more jobs and most importantly diversifying trade commitments? Since you put it that way, why don't you provide full military supports on every country you trade with? I'm sure your investors are just giddy about paying for high shipping costs through war-brooding Europe, thanks to Chamberlain, while there are bunch of trees in Alaska, Canada, and Iceland.

What speculation? If you are not at war then there is now war... we back all of our trading partners who do close trades with us with Military support.

Yes I am sure you are. And I hope the United States and Germany too are on good terms. We are afraid to go to war, no body wants war, save for Chamberlain, but that is the past. Our belief is speak softly but carry a big stick, therefore our tones will always be a bit rash, but this is no excuse to go to war.

Do you think all we trade with Finland is wood? I would be careful here if I were you. Alaska is remote and barren, we have no means to cut through Canada to get wood there, if there are any to be used. Most of our wood comes from Oregon and Washington, but the wealthier classes prefer Finnish wood over American.

Dont worry about our military support, we support those we trade with both financially and militarily (not sure if I spelled that right), Finland wanted to make the trade agreement public and that is their right, the others chose to keep the trade agreements secret in fear of those around them.

As for the high shipping costs, in what way are the shipping costs high? With our warships escorting our merchants, as the navy has nothing better to do at the moment. Perhaps you should look towards your east and shut up before you make another enemy. Remember America is and will remain in isolation unless directly attacked or our interests are being threatened.

Right. Operating Navy isn't high maintainance. And you did say you were interested in wood. We had our talks with Finland, and with USA as well. If won't change your mind, then whatever, although we must note USA's short temper. Have fun.

Ok then.... had fun debating with you. Wished it would last longer, but it appears you are too 'busy', so we will see you.

PS. we have no short temper, but we do have little tolerance for nosy little people like you.
