Im Aimee and I just recently got addicted to CIV. My husband is a video game junky and he was fixated on finding a game I would play with him, and he did...and now I havent slept for 3 days attempting my first world conquest.Here's the thing I cant fiqure out how to erase saved games. Help

I'm 30 years old and have been playing various versions of Civilization since 1992. In all honesty, I have done more civilization playing than any other single activity. I don't know if I'm obsessed with Civilization because I'm a closet megalomanic or if I'm merely using computer modeling to glean a better understanding of humanity; but I sure do enjoy this game!
I recently downloaded the EE3 and I loved everything about it save the too short time limit for victory.
I've always wanted to play civ online, against other human beings; but I have dial up. If it is possible for me to play a game with someone given my limitations, let me know.

I don't remember when did I find this place but it was before I bought civIV, anyway I started by downloading some mods from this site but there were some things in CivIV that needed fixes and I tought to share my opinions about it...

Hi, I've just joined Civ Fanatics so that I can become a better player of Civ IV. You appear to have a really good strategy forum (although at my level the consensus seems to be, "read the manual!") and I plan to participate in many of the GOTMs and SGOTMs.

My favorite is the newest one because of all of the additions they included in the game.

I just got back into the Civ craze, I started on Civ2, but got too busy and skipped over Civ3 and now I'm hooked into the "just one more turn" mentality. My roommate hates it when I get into a Civ game because he would go to sleep and wake up and I'm still there playing. ^_^

Hello, I'm a casual gamer, and as such I never really got into Civ3/4. I do enjoy Civ2, though. I've tried to make my own modpack/scenarios, but I never got it off the ground...

I am probably late to the CIV party .... but my name is Rico and I am a new member here. I found this site by the link available from the CIV4 webpage.
I am a longtime, LOOONG time Civilization Fan. I have owned Civ 2 since it came out and fell in love with it SO hard that I did not feel the need to go to Civ 3. Only recently, when I played it again did I notice that the graphics were a little dated and decided that maybe it was time to upgrade.
I just got Civ4 yesterday and I am FLOORED by it.
The entire package is just so overwhelming, both in good ways and bad ways.
Gone are the days of simplified city management and combat. Gone are the days of select military units. Religions and Civics make things much more complex IMHO ... But the additon of 3D (or as close to 3D as possible) graphics is welcome. The animation is phenomenal and the music is exquisitely mindblowing - best Civ soundtrack ever.
I'm having a bit of a learning curve (and shell shock) while playing this newest Civ .... and maybe that's where I should stop this post and go ahead and post me a new question in a different forum.
Anyway, glad to be here and hope to meet some new people and maybe even make some new Civ friends.
But please, be kind to the n00b ...
