Well, I bought CIV V. I have tried to play it with some success. There is too much busywork with the game. All units have to have attention paid them each turn unless they are one Sentry, reinforced or moving. I want to end each turn when I want, not when the game thinks I can.
I can't make MODS work. I download them from STEAM and install them per their directions, but there is no indication that the MOD loaded.
The MODS on CIVFANATICS the game can't be loaded because I can't find the game on my computer. I have a STEAM folder under x86 Programs in Win 7, but I don't see a folder for CIV V.
I have switched back to playing CIV IV. It works better.
The main inprovement to CIV V is the "eye candy".
Overall I think CIV V is not worth buying!!!
