WH Mod Expansion Discussion

I see what he means, it could work with a lot of extra effort, but the AI would surely never understand it and it would be extremely hampered. Nice idea though...

Hello!

I've been away for a while doing some scouting around on the worldmap.
I saw Kinboats chaos dwarf and I am as impressed as with aaglos units.
Does this mean we are perhaps closing in on the new patch?
Still ED has not made contact?`

Regarding the 4 elements Mr. Do, that was just an idea independent on the rerelease of the four figures. I do have the old miniatures though, but the idea of having four elementals in the game - totally different from each other and complementing like the four knightly orders would spice up the game even more (if enough balance and playtesting were used).

Anyway, it's good to be back. And I hope the patch will be ready before Civ 4 comes in sale, but I reckon the old players wouldn't stop playing WH-civ for that reason
(Imagine the possibilities with WH for Civ 4 with all that flexibility it gives)

Frostyboy :)

Well it's almost ready, just got to get an internet connection sorted out at home (Hopefully by this Saturday), then upload the behemoth. I've playtested it myself and done all the civilopedia, it's looking good!

I just remembered: wouldn't it be possible to make the Khemri leaderhead for 2 eras - one human and the other undead. I think it would be another good way to emphasize the passing from human to undead. I found two leaderheads that might fit: this one and this one .
Just a last minute sugestion :) .

weightwatchers?archers? anyways how is everything going along mr.do i hope your connection problem has been taken care of, i want to get as much time playing this as i can befor civ4. anyways let me be the first to say even befor i see the expansion thank to anyone and everyone who helped with any of this expansion of the this great mod now get it out here so i can start playin

:bump:

wazapenin?

Has it gone beta yet? Has somebody died?

Sorry to keep you guys waiting yet longer, but I've still not got my own internet connection :(

This is probably a good thing, as the amount of bugs I'm encountering through playtesting is shocking...

Once you've got your internet connection going I'd love to help you find those bugs. In my experience the bugs for all software is shocking.

Here's another bug you should fix. ;)

The Greater Deamon should be flagged amphibious, it isn't in 2.03

BTW, did you know about the trick of putting all the units on a test map (I may have told you about it earlier, but what the heck...)? This way you find all ini bugs on load up, instead of (maybe) in era 4...

Okay, got a connection, going to finish this off in the next couple of days (My job has helpfully cut my hours to almost zero). Thanks for the heads-up there mrtn, I'll try that. I just hope I can figure out how to place units on the map in the editor, it's new to me!

Open the editor. either create a random map, or just make a huge field of grassland.
Hit "space" to choose what civ to give the units to. It doesn't matter if you give them to the "wrong" civ, give them all to the civ you are gonna start this test scenario as.
Click the little "helmet" icon to choose what unit to place. Place all the units on the map (this is gonna drive you mad ;)), it's probably best to place them one in each tile.
Save the biq and start it.

HTH :)

After that you're ready to go through the whole civilopedia. ;)

Well fortunately I only have to try it with the hundred or so units that have been modified and added to the scenario, so it shouldn't take horribly long. I'd palm this task off to someone else, but I'd only have to QC his work afterwards anyway...
