I just finished a six-part series called "If the Oil Runs Out", which depicts life in the year 2016. Not that far away, but the IEA predicts peak oil around 2020 and notes that we're using it more quickly than their estimate planned for. The interview is the dramatization of what happens to one family as oil prices go up and force lifestyle changes, mixed in with interspersed interviews with various scientists and energy officials.

Had a look at it and overall liked it. :) Nothing groundbreaking or even new, but it helped to have perspective.

I'm a soil scientist and I approve of this message. Soil is probably, with water, the most important resource we have, yet close to zero resource or interest is going towards it (except when the research has to do with how it behaves when you put concrete and buildings on it). Still today, soil and its functioning remains a big black box of mystery, and we're losing healthy soil around the globe pretty fast.
