Anyhow, I thought it was a bit inaccurate for the Byzantines to be killing the Romans since, um, Byzantines are Romans (yes yes I know it's a bit more complicated than that but come on). But eh I guess artistic license. Still cool to see the Bzantines in, indeed. Actualy I'm surprised I was able to recognize all the groups in thetere.
I've actually never heard the song before, despite it supposedly being pretty famous, and I gotta say even though the lyrics make me feel a bit uncomfortable (especially in the light of the video), it is a rather haunting and beautiful melody.
It seems that the "land" is current Israel/Palestine (otherwise it does not make sense to finish off the video with israeli army vs palestinian orders).

Apparently she is aware of the fact that Byzantines killing Romans doesn't make much sense so I'm happy: "I don’t know if “Romans” ever fought “Byzantines” (Eastern Romans) but this is a cartoon."
And now that I think about it, the song does have a bit of a Western flair...
Not sure what exactly the elephant thought she was painting*, but a cool video
*I suppose an elephant does not view his/her own form as one to be abstracted in this very human manner anyway. But i like the video, if anything it shows that those creatures can bother to memorise a number of paintbrush movements, provided they deem it worth their trouble to amuse the stupid humans and get some extra food.
I at least hope that the canvas was not tainted with stuff which would cause the elephant to paint over not readily visible lines.
