What are your addictions?

Soft drinks and coffee are probably the big ones for me. Coffee I can live with, but soft drinks is something that I'm trying to get away from because they are doing my teeth no good whatsoever. Can't hurt the waist-line, either.

I recommend beer instead of soft drinks.

Or get your own soda machine and carbonate cranberry juice/water mixes.

Books are my chief weakness, along with tea possibly followed by coffee. More seriously, I think I have an addiction or at least a psychological compulsion toward breakfast cereal. I "know" from a chemical standpoint that even healthy cereal is no good for me, just as I know that it does it not satisfy and even the smallest bowl leaves me feeling slightly sick. And yet, as soon as I wake up in the morning, my desire is for a bowl of cereal and milk!

Addictions are those things you can't give up, aren't they?

Hmm.

I certainly seem to be addicted to the radio, for some reason. It seems to be on all the time I'm in the house and awake.

This is the most squeaky clean "addictions" thread I have ever seen boys.

Allow me to get the ball rolling. All through college, I was a chronic pothead. I'm talking like 3 grams a day, all day bong hits. When I would try to cut down, I would succeed in abstaining all day, but then end up either

a) blazing 2 blunts to my head before I went to sleep, thereby concentrating a whole day's worth of pot into one session
or b) finding an excuse to consume 6 tallboys

In addition to complementary alcoholism, I was addicted to nicotine for a few years, not from smoking cigarettes, but from mixing in tobacco with my pot. I also enjoyed tripping on the occasional heroic dose of psilocybin mushrooms. This pattern went on for like 5 years before I quit everything for good. That's a real addiction.

I enjoy the same but I do not consider it an addiction. More like a celebration & after I do, I have no desire to repeat the performance for some time. It's exhausting!
