What are your prefered map types/size and why ?

pangea or oval because ai can't really handle naval stuff yet until (hopefully)
standard or small, depending on what I like because my computer can't handle big maps

Standard is my preferred map size, smaller is boring and larger gets confusing. My favorite map type is whichever one that I just started playing. I am going through the map types slowly because I like to experiment with sea level, world age, rainfall, etc., on each one.
