What civs do you most fear in the game (the ones you don't want as your neighbors)? Mine are:
1) Babylon: Great builders, incredible culture; these guys are impossible to conquer without a big commitment
2) Vikings: Pure aggression with powerful units and moderate infrastructure. Not as aggressive as Mongols, but Mongols throw wimpy units at you most of the time
3) Arabs: Same as vikings, but have better culture and building
4) Carthage: At least in the ancient age, Their cities are nearly unconquerable. Fortunately, they're not too aggressive.
5) Persia: Once these guys get started, they're nearly Unstoppable

1. Zululand - Shaka lies everytime he opens his mouth
2. Spain - Isabella backstabs with ROP and Alliances
3. Persia - Immortals, need I say more?

1. Zulu - Always so freaking good.
2. Americans - Those stupid scouts...
3. China - God damn I hate them.

In no particular order:
-Zululand: Always hates me and declaring war, somebody make the bad man stop
-Greece: Those evil hoplites
-Carthage: Numidian mercs
-Mongols: Genghis is just ugly

Mongols usually try to take me over.

Persia - it depends. Sometimes I contain them, other times they try to run me over.

That's about it, really.

Considering the fact that the AI isn't really competent, I must say I don't really fear any civs.... Now if they're controlled by another human, then it's another matter...

1.) Zululand.
2.) Bablyon. If the Bablyonians are in the game, I know they'll declare war on me, sooner or later.
3.) Greece. Nice civ overall, but if you need to get them out of the way pre-feudalism, you need lots of luck.

1. Germany, always starting that unwanted war, and demanding tribute.
2. Zululand, same as Germany, also a backstabber when it comes to MA's.
3. Babylon, cultural giant.......need I say more?
4. Persia, Immortals a near impoosible to conquer in the Ancient Age.
5. Russia, always seems to have a large chunk of land, and my wars with her seem to be the most drawn out.

Plain ol' Civ 3

1-Germans, tend to get advanced and aggressive
2-Zulus, treachorous and greedy
3-Babylonians, cultural and often powerful
4-Russians, Catherine is such a grump
5-France, for their size, they often get big and join alliances.

Civs I don't fear
1-The English, they always bite off more than they can chew. I've seen them get ganged-up on and wiped out in several games. They are usually the ones who start the war, too.
2-India
3-Iroqouis
4-Aztecs, never seen them get big like they did on Civ 1 or Civ 2.
5-Greece, never really had to fight them. Well, once, and I was so advanced I mopped the floor with them.

1. Russia. Catherine issues more "take this deal or suffer" demands than anyone else.
2. Zulus. They are pesky early, but not later. Tend to interfere with my early expansion plans.
3. Mongols. They love to sneak attack, especially if they have a ROP with one of your other neighbors.
4. Portugal. I thought they would be cool as one of the new civs; but Henry is unreasonable, and has a penchant for building dozens of carracks, with which to attack you later.

1. Vikings: BERSERKERS! EEEEEK!
2. Egypt: They always attack me.
3. Greece: I love fighting in the Ancient Age, thus I don't usually play a game with Greece.

Same here. Everyone fears me, not the other way around.

As said before: Mongols- Temujin looks too ugly, so I kill him before I have to see him a lot.

Except for traits and unique units, all opponents are the same. I don't fear any of them. That is, I don't have enough time to fear th-*is conquered by the Ottomans*

Definitely Carthage. I usually choose the Egyptians, and they seem to enjoy threatening the Egyptians, quite odd.

Also the Zulus, English a bit, and any other Civ that has better units.

Oddly enough, I never have any problems with the Zulus. Same goes for the Mongols or Persians. They tend to be trustworthy allies, too.

Russia, on the other hand...
