you guys are nationalists, cool, i'm happy for you,

So were you, obviously...
Yoda would say; the way to the dark side of the force begins with hatred and/or lack of respect for others.

Let's not go to that road again of comparing USA with anyone on Earth -- the only PURE civilization worthy of any consideration North from South is (to me, again) the Mayas of the Yucatan temples of astronomy and mathematics. Converted to Aztecs city-states which collided with Spaniards as much as the Incas or Inuits. Annihilated by Wars. Even poisoned, exiled (Louisiana), replaced.

Anything else is a direct result of conquest by Europe or revolts (12 colonies) against formal Empires.
Nationalism or protectionism included in any reasons you could spit out here to demean Canada.

Humbly yours, from a Québec citizen of the free world. That is still conscious of his cultural or political origins.

nah, i was saying that anglo-america can be represented by america. that's saying, "you guys feel like you're not in the game? well, just look at it like this". if i were being nationalistic i would've said something like, i don't know, this:
Stop the insults - aimed at the Arctic circle Giant that gave this world, for examples, Green Peace and technologies way beyond the scope of *your* mutual Nuclear Cold War dynamics.

except it would've been something on one of these pages

and i haven't even quoted barney stinson once in this thread.

Inventions?
Of the collaborative world... most of which *exported* by people's mind into the USA.
That, you and i simply can't deny. Even for *ALL* Nuclear arsenals.
Same sort of principles in Canada, btw.

Science is a universal concept, society and its means - well - that's an entirely different issue which can lead to debt ceilings and a bunch of corporate profits, Lehman "Banking" failure being just a symptom of the dangers of conquest by force.

Another example of fake illusions? Walmart exported products from cheap labor conditions enforced & found in foreign countries.
Need i add, emerging economies.

dude, i'm sorry, but...what are you arguing? that countries are ideas? that ideas can't do anything without the people who have them? that the song that goes "everybody needs somebody sometimes" is right?
the usa is a country that promotes being inventive and industrious. so do tons of other countries, but we're just so good at it that our gdp is still like three times as much as second place, even with all of the mistakes lately. does gdp have much to do with culture? not really, but you're the one bringing up money.
i realize you probably speak french or something because you're from quebec, but your posts don't make much sense at least half of the time.

but we're just so good at it that our gdp is still like three times as much as second place

THAT sums up my reaction.
Nothing else to be said about condescending attitudes and some ego-centric superiority complex.
So, reality check; Prophets of Doom

Watch the whole 90 minutes thing, then draw your own conclusion(s).
I'm done with comparing countries with you - dude.

saying "canada kind of counts as the same civilization as as the united states, even if it's a separate country" isn't anything like "canadia sux lolziez", but take it however you want. i'm being as polite as possible here.

Hey let's not argue about which country is better. They are both amazing countries.
All I wanted was for Canada to be a playable civ and I'm sure many others do also

also, about the video, i haven't bothered watching it yet, but i'll probably get around to it because that stuff is entertaining to me. but maybe living in a different country, you don't know that every couple days, there's someone new saying they know when and how the united states is going to collapse, so they're probably not saying anything new. some of the predictions people have are believable, but all of them get tedious.

Okay then, 22 pages later - i still want Inuits and certainly not because modern Nunavut is *IN* Canada or that the whole continental US was *later* plastered with multiple native tribes. The last Ice age prevented Northern Europe from being settled also, UK for one.
Nuf' said. Nothing more to add here or comment about.

i thinks it just doesn't feel right with the Songhai. I want the Zulus, the only african civ who defeated the brits at least once.
