What civs do you want in Civ 5 - Updated list

Synagogue is perfect.
Not only does it cut the link between Judaism & Christianity but it also fits more into the Monastery "principles" by extension.
But i wouldn't give up the "Olives Plantation" UI for anything including any Units (there's a reason -- balance with already neighboring Civs)... up to you to decide Pouakai.

The Vikings could have extra production per tundra tile, an improved trieme (can cross ocean?) and an axeman.

My suggestion?

A Raider ability of some kind (essentially, enter water tiles with no movement penalty). Maybe a gold bonus for pillaging or something. Improved Trireme would be a Longship. I wouldn't recommend it crossing the ocean, since they actually hugged the ice (once the ice moved back, they weren't really effective at crossing the Atlantic). Maybe extra movement (they'd appear out of nowhere according to reports of eyewitnesses). For the Axeman, if we're keeping with Viking cliches, they'd be Berzerkers. I've heard valid arguments for Huskarls instead, though.

Also, Norsemen preferably, not Vikings.

I'll give some thought to Majapahit if people need suggestions. Not my area of study, but I'll see if anything comes to mind. Ideally, it would be cool to think of a coherent distinction between various naval-oriented civs (English, Polynesians, Norsemen, Dutch, Carthage, Majapahit) so they all fit neatly.

I think the Dutch should have a bonus (2x?) to gold from ocean trade routes or just trade routes in general. Carthage can have multiple units (only one per type) embarked on a tile. The Norse could recieve a bonus for amphibious attacks (the one promotion that removes it would add on) but no extra defense.

Since the DLC civs seem to be ties to scenarios here's what I would suggest:

Scramble for Africa Whoever owns the largest % of African territory endgame wins
Adds Ethiopian Empire, Zulu Empire and Dutch Empire to the game

Manifest Destiny America; Your territory must reach unbroken from the Atlantic and Pacific by endgame. Native Americans; stop American expansion.
Adds Cherokee Empire and Sioux Empire to game.

I think thescenarios are great but I'm not sure if the civs for those (two native American civs?) should be permanent. Here are my ideas:
Expansion: Age of exploration
Adds Portugeuse, Dutch and Vikings. One scenario would have England, France, Spain, Portugal, the Dutch and the Vikings in a race to find and settle a city in the New World, lasting from 1000-1500 AD. Another scenario (excluding Vikings) would start in 1400 AD and would have the winner be the civ with the largest area in the new world.
Another idea: A Mediterranean pack that adds Carthage and Phonecia.

Queen of the iceni Mod is already set . Why hasn't Boudica bring brought into the game blows my mind. It is the best Civilization ever.

I have some leader suggestions for the new Civs:

(1) Carthage (Leader) Queen Elishat (Female)
(2) Ethiopia (Leader) Bilqis Makeda (Female)
(3) Byzantium (Leader) "Basileus" Eirene Sarantapechaina of Athena (Female)
(4) Byzantium (Leader) Basileus Heraclius the Younger (Male)
(5) Hebrews (Leader) Holy King Solomon (Male)
(6) Austria (Leader) Empress Maria Theresa (Female)
(7) Hungary (Leader) Apostolic King Stephen I of Hungary (Male)
(8) Bulgaria (Leader) Holy Knyaz Bogoris Mihail (Male)
(9) Nubia (Leader) Candace of Meroë (Female)
(10) Hittites (Leader) King Suppiluliuma I (Male)
(11) Hittites (Leader) Tawananna Puduhepa (Female)
(12) Assyrian (Leader) Sargon II (Male)

Which civs would they be? What gaps are you talking about? The eskimo civ would be great to fill up the tundra and polar caps. Have whales and seals as luxury plus Polar bears as resources to eat. Give em' the option of crossing Ice and start them on the North American map. Have em' start immediately with a harbor and all connected cities have a Machupichu like perk. Also, other units can't enter the ice zone which would give them a boost towards defense.

Adding the Eskimo at the North pole, then Hiawatha at the U.S.A, Monty at Mexico territory and finally Pachacuti in South America against the Americans expansion.

If you want to fill in the gaps then...
Norse; the polar region of europe is really the only space left so why not?
Inuit; NW North America is pretty bare
Majapahit; All those Indonesian islands need to belong to somebody, plus Majapahit was amazing
Sioux; Central North America needs someone to resist American expansion and the Iroquois are more suited for the NE instead of the plains states.
Zululand; Africa is REALLY empty
Ethiopia; ditto, plus they were the only African civ to resist the scramble for africa
Mayans; Someone needs to compete with the Incas (Firaxis should release this DLC on Dec 21 2012 just for kicks)

we have all of those, just need ethiopia and zulu to be finished

edit: just need to add either shaka or cetshwayo as the zulu leader and they're done, probably shaka

Good response.
