What do Avatars mean to you?

Not as good as the "Goober" one . . .

A close second . . .

A rhetorical question is a statement made in the form of a question, it is not meant to be answered.

But you should if you think the statement is wrong.

I just pick an avatar of something I think is cool. Actually, usually retro-cool. Thus, I used to have Doctor Who. This one is Captain Scarlet. On another forum I have The Prisoner.

But it's only 'cause I think it's cool.

I assume other people select theirs for the same reason. I don't ascribe much importance to them except as a small window into the posters mind.

I don't think I could have a female avatar though. Just seems wrong.

I got a new avatar. It's a bunch of money. It has to do with the fact that I want to be an investment banker.

Is this thread still going?

I've been making loads of avatars recently, in Computer Help. Do people feel their avatar represents their personality, or goals, or is it just an asthetically appealing graphic with no value other than to excersise your right to use the allocated space?
