What do you think of Daniel Craig's Jacket at the Skyfall Premiere?

it doesn't match his pants, and that's the real crime in a men's suit.

Good point. I do think that trousers made of the same material would have looked dumb though. Maybe if the satin strip running up the leg matched the general material of the jacket. That way the trousers main material would match the collar and the strip the jacket. Would have brought it together more.

What do you all think of the turn down collar, instead of a wing collar? I noticed that nearly every other man in the various pictures also wore a turned down collar. Maybe they are much more acceptable now. Or maybe movie stars don't know how to tie ties.

Also, regarding the lapel, that is the collar of the jacket, I did find out that Sean Connery did popularize the shawl collar as James Bond, so the collar of the jacket is sort of a cool call back to the OG 007. That gives me a bit more appreciation for it.

Connery as Bond w/ shawl collar:

Shawl collar? Well, I live and learn.

Still, as long as he pulls his trousers down before taking a dump, like holy king says.

Not to be too scatological about it.

And British. Like, in Cowboys and Aliens, he was dressed as a cowboy and doing a perfectly serviceable American accent, and I still couldn't buy him as not being from England.

Liam Neeson has the same effect. He can shake the accent, but not the impression that he's Irish. Christian Bale, on the other hand, is so good at this that for a long time I didn't know he was English.

Anyway, his suit doesn't seem to fit his body or his pants, but at least they're not wearing neckties. Horrid things, those. They remind me of a turkey's wattle.

Bale is actually Welsh. And it could be in part because your first exposure to Bale was him playing an American. Hell, it still weirds me out a bit hearing Hugh Laurie with an English accent.

No no no. Can't fuss that much about man pants.
