What do you use to shower?

I use Neutrogena pore cleanser on my face and neck, Dial antibacterial soap on the rest of my body, and shampoo.

I use body wash and a loofah (sp?) sometimes if I want to smell nice.

Then Neutrogena alcohol-free toner and oil-free SPF15 moisturizer when dried off. I dry off by first using my hands to wipe off the excess water, then air drying for a minute or two while the bathroom air dries out, then towel trying the rest of the way.

It's complicated, I guess.

I have a cheap shower filter and I use whatever sort of soap my GF has. I'm not particularly through because I never smell. I don't use shampoo and haven't since last millenium. It's pretty much a scam.

I also use a pumice stone (like this -

but perfectly round) that my GF has almost all over my body (except my face & groin).

To shave in the shower I again just use soap. Shaving cream is another scam. It's pretty great having a significant other who is all into trying different soaps n' toothpastes and whatnot. The other toiletries I ever need to buy are razor blades. :D

Ohh, I really want to hear about this one.
It's not too deep, just that you don't need it. If you must rub something in your hair you can just use a regular natural soap like Dr. Bronners.

Plus shampoos almost always have lots of toxic stuff in them. Sure you could buy "natural shampoos" but is it worth it?

I stopped using shampoo around 1999 or so after talking to some girl with really soft hair who said she hadn't used the stuff in a couple years. It sounded gross to me at first but since her hair was nice I figured it was just conditioning. She told me it gets kinda greasy for about a month and then, almost overnight, it stops being greasy and is pretty much self regulating from then on. And that's pretty much what happened.

Well, there's the problem. I'm not willing to deal with a month of greasy hair! I've used Dr Bronners on my head a few times, but it dries my hair out more than I'm happy with. As for toxins... this is America. And I've stopped smoking. I gotta get my cancer from somewhere, and shampoo is a great-smelling way to do it! (Also not washing your hair is one of the defining characteristics of "hippie".)

Put me in the "I don't care if it's not necessary, it smells good and I like it" camp. :)

I mostly agree on the shaving cream, though. I shave with soap and water. And a razor.

Me? Anything that smeels somewhat nice and isn't too expensive. Other than that? Just a regular wash cloth and soap...

To shower, I generally use a shower.

Shower gel, and 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner if I need to wash my hair.

I'm thinking of going for separate shampoo and conditioner next time I run out, as I'm told it's better, and cheaper, funnily enough. I also DEFINITELY want a moisturising shower gel next time...

More things should contain moisturiser.

Just soap, shampoo and water here. Ivory's cheap, relatively odorless, and lasts about as long as any other soap I've tried. I've started cutting down on water use by turning it off while I lather up. Shampoo I get from my barber; it's cheaper there than from the store given how long a bottle lasts, and I believe has fewer nasty chemicals.

I try to shave every so often--just soap, a brush, a mug, and a razor. Maybe a little Bay Rum aftershave if I want to smell nice.

thats really interesting... no itchy head at all ??? my scalp starts itching if i never wash my hair for a day... whats the theory behind self cleansing hair ?

I don't know what's the theory but no, my head doesn't itch and my hair is thick & voluptuous. I simply don't see any reason (besides marketing) that the hair on one's head would need it's own special soap.

any smell ?? can get third party to verify, haha...

one of my fav pasttime is to smell the hair of girls... its brighten my day anytime. :D

Personally I enjoy a long bath.

The first one's a loofah. The second one, I don't know if there's a more formal name, I just call 'em poofs. Or bath poofs. I use washcloths sometimes too.

We have poofs here too. At every club, there'll be a few who come and try to dance uncomfortably close.

Why is shaving cream a scam? I find it very useful nowadays. When I was a teen, I could just run the razor over my face without any problem, but nowadays that's more likely to break the razor.

I use shower gel or soap, depending on whether any kind and generous person gave me any shower gel recently.

No particular smell.

I love the smell of girls. Every one smells differently. Perfume is not necessary, every woman has a distinct smell to her skin.

Brighteye, I just think soap suds work just as well personally that's all.
