Sommerswerd asked me to change this
I'm currently at TrekBBS, and not much has changed regarding canon and the configuration of spaceships. I ended up putting one of the pro Star Trek authors (Christopher L. Bennett) on ignore because he was such a jerk to me about canon/continuity. And the Neutral Zone forum makes worst OT threads here look like a genteel picnic by comparison; over there anything goes and even the moderators openly troll people.
As for saying you don't watch TOS... try saying you hated the Abrams movies. Some people can't understand the difference between "these movies are stupid" and "you are stupid because you like these movies." The first is my sincerely-held opinion, but the second is what most of the people there insist I said.
Actually, there are people there who say they've never seen TOS. It does make it difficult to have a conversation about the ethics of changing history when the person you're talking to has never seen "City on the Edge of Forever."
Anyway, I'm entered in two of the avatar contests over there - wish me luck.![]()
It wasn't easy to express your opinions over there, is what the main problem was... especially if your opinion was seem as blasphemy by other posters, which oftentimes happened to me.
There were some good posters on there, but.. it just wasn't the place for me. Good luck on the contest.

I actually have been meaning to watch TOS.. at some point. You know, to see if I've been missing out on anything. I've watched bits and pieces of episodes and I was never really pulled in, but you never know. Not to take this thread on a tangent though, but it's just that trekBBS was my go-to forum for many years.. I have a lot of things to say about it, I guess.
