I stopped being reliant on friends financially and have reduced my debt considerably. Not fearing every time the phone rang that it would be a creditor is nice.

I won an award for my master's thesis. It was awarded the best in my discipline, history of ideas and science, last semester. The award was just a few hundred euros, and it's a small provincial university, but it was
kind of nice.

You know the single time I gambled in a casino was in Atlantic City on a brief stop over. I played slots for a while and came out $3.75 ahead. I don't remember whether it was in Trump's casino. It was long ago, so I wouldn't have had reason to seek his casino out or to avoid it. But I like to think I played a part in bankrupting him from the casino business.

Stayed alive. Applied to continue my STEM studies. Became more reclusive than before. Didn't become too pessimistic despite being ill for 10/12 of year.

Managed to keep up and work on my then new relationship. Turns out that being together with a philosopher can be complicated.
