What is the game you spent most hours playing?

Probably Civ4

Honourable mentions must go to:
Civ 2
Every Football Manager from '06 onwards (if I counted the series as one entry, it'd be well ahead of Civ4)
Baldurs Gate 2
Everquest
City of Heroes (which, given I'm still addicted to it, might take the top spot sometime soon)
EU3
Tekken Tag Tournament (used to play with my flatmates for a couple of hours nearly every night for 2 years at uni)

Civ 1,2,3
Grand Prix 2
Sim City 2000
Super Mario World and A Link to the Past (due to countless replays)
Football Manager (as a serie)
Pro Evolution Soccer (as a serie)
Grand Theft Auto 1 and San Andreas

But Minecraft is approaching the top pretty fast...

Age of Empires 2, by a long way.

Also spent far too long on:
Age of Mythology
Age of Empires
Civ 4 (of course)
Lemmings (thanks to custom levels, challenges etc.)

Not counting Madden or Civilization III, I would say I spent the most total on Dragon Warrior VII.

I beat it twice, each time took around ~100 hours. On one of the files I bothered to get most of the extra stuff, so another ~50. So thats around 250 hours altogether.

Honorable mentions are Final Fantasy Tactics (probably around 200), Ogre Battle 64 (200), Banjo-Kazooie (ultimate collecting game, 100ish), and Pokemon Silver (all the Pokemon games together would surpass DW7, but Silver alone was 200 at least).

No order

Civ 3
Heroes 3
Wizardry 8
Might & Magic 6
Fallout 2
Tomb Raider 4

As you can tell, i like old games with numbers in the title.

Civ1 on the AMIGA

I'd suppose it's Hellgate: London (or Hellgate: Resurrection as it's called today).

Other big one have been:
Dungeon Master, Wayne Gretzky Hockey, Phantasie III (on Amiga)
Civilization IV, Galactic Civilization II, NHL 95 (on PC)
Demon's Souls (on PS3)

All time: Civilization III. Followed by Command and Conquer: Generals. (Dis)Honorable mentions go to Rise of Nations, Hearts of Iron II, Red Alert II and Civilization IV.

This year: Europa Universalis III.

Wow, thats a nice question.

Currently, its the World of Tanks Beta. I got 5 other friends playing it atm and its fun running two tank platoons at the same time.

Overall, the question gets harder. I played Everquest for uncounted hours, back when just exploring that world took forever. I have also played at least 2 characters up to level 80 in WoW, so thats another huge time sink. Another would be Battlefield:1942 and its various mods, and even its sequels to a large degree. Out of those three I think I will have to go with Battlefield:1942. It was pretty much the industry standard shooter and mods like Desert Combat Final and Forgotten Hope just let it go on for years longer. It was probably about the best multi-player FPS out there for a long, long time, and if you managed to find a good server with a nice map rotation, you just got sucked into playing it for hours on end.

First one I say Age of Empires II with the expansions...by a lot!
Next come COD: MW2 for Xbox 360
And I think after that, Civ 3, and there might be more but I don't know lol

Oh and a zone.msn.com game called AntZ...GREAT GAME that was free :)

Hmmm... I'd have to say Civilization 3, Oblivion, Rome Total War. When I was in the fifth grade, all I played was Civ 3, just about the whole year. Rome Total War was what took up my 6th grade year. Up until I broke my disc in July, all I played was Oblivion. That game is like a drug! I think I'm going through withdrawal.

For PC gaming [c3c] wins by a landslide. I have many PC games but I've spent the most amount of time playing [c3c]. Even to this day nothing else even comes close.

PC game - Civ2. I must've played that 8 years straight! (not all at once, mind you) I would be on 'poly's site 1 am in the morning, too. Civ3 didn't last as long (having a full time job will do that - game testing doesn't count, either.) Civ1 also gets honorable mention, followed by Earl Weaver Baseball and SimCity.

Console game - Either DW4 or FF3 (FF6). SimCity again gets honorable mention. (I remember my dad surprised me and got me that game one week when I was sick. I woke up on the lazy-boy chair - designated family 'sick chair' and found a SimCity game next to me)

The Sims, The Sims 2, Mafia, GTA Vice City, and Civilization III are the biggest contenders. I've stayed up all night playing Sims and Civ3.

Would have to be CS 1.6, I believe. And shooters would also fill the next few ranks.

Why not the original?
I purchased this one shortly after it came out, along with my friend and we started playing online together for quite some time.

If memory serves, I'm around level 40. I haven't played in a couple months.
