I sing whenever I'm bored, mowing the lawn, walking the dog or sitting at the computer. If I have music playing chances are (50/50) I'm singing along to it. If I had to choose, I think I would be a baritone or a tenor.
here is a pitch generator. Just click on the note and try to match it. You can probably look up what voice part you are based on your range without going into falsetto.
The 8 at the bottom of the tenor clef means you'd sing a full octiv below what the treble clef said to sing.
I'm a tenor/bari: My range is from E (82 Hz) to E (329 Hz).
I can sing from the bottom of the bass clef to the bottom of the treble clef. Baritone parts feel most comfortable and all of the stuff I write falls in that range. So... baritone.
In my choir I sing bass voice, my range is roughly from D (73Hz) to D (294Hz). When it comes to male choir, I usually alternate between singing bass 1 sometimes or bass 2, but I prefer bass2.
I am a baritone. When i sang with the WASO Chorus, I sang bass 1. Those voice ranges are very limited, Stratego. When I sang Bass 1, I had to go from a low Eflat to a High G. It was even worse for Bass 2, they had to get as low as Bflat two octaves below middle C. I sang in Mahlers 2nd Symphony. That was an excersie in itself. You really need to be fit to sing in some chorus's.
Yea, now that you mention it, they do seem limited. But maybe that's the most common singing range. Most people don't sing their full range in a song anyways.
So-PRANO (imagine that sung in a high pitch). I used to be in choir at my school, but not any more. There isn't enough time to do choir with all of my other activities.
