What is your favourite scene in a Movie?

so many to choose from. My 2 favorite movies are Pulp Fiction and the Unforgiven. many scenes from Pulp Fiction have already been mentioned. Except for maybe the gimp scene. But who can forget the samurai sword scene? That whole movie kicks serious ass.

As for Unforgiven. My favorite is at the end. I'll link this clip. It's a little dark (at least on my comp) youtube doesn't do it justice. I urge people to see this movie if they have not. this movie has alot of quotes I like along with Pulp Fiction. "deserve's got nothin' to do with it"

The ending to the Truman Show. Never in my life did I ever think I would be so emotionally invested in the fate of a Jim Carrey character. Might be the only time as an adult that I cried from a movie, or was so satisfied. Also, I had figured that the movie was some sort of Christina allegory around the middle, and the ending supremely confirmed it.

If you have not seen this movie, see it. It's the most perfect of perfect films ever made; the Holy Grail of story-telling.

In 1998, I went to the theatre to see a movie. Both young and old, men and women packed the seats, front to back. The audience was loud as they discussed the hype surrounding the film and the mood was generally upbeat. After the opening scene, the mood had clearly changed, and this was apparent despite the typical silence that one would expect in a theatre. When the movie was over, no one spoke. There were tears. There was awe. The audience proceeded to the exits shocked.

The movie was, "Saving Private Ryan" and the scene is the opening scene 'D-Day'.

I've never seen anyone react to a scene/film like that.

oh, yeah, definitely up there with the best scenes.

Nope, it should read like this when previewing it:

It does. :)
Bear in mind that if the video gets pulled down or YouTube goes offline you'll get some sort of error -the video isn't hosted here, it's just remote content. :)

In the upcoming Special Edition of RotLA, that scene is edited because George Lucas thought it was unsportsmanlike that Jones shot first:

:rotfl: Greedo shot first, you revisionist scum!

Titanic: The opening of the black and white departure, and with the theme playing; it touches me for some reason because of the sadness. When I was younger, I also would watch the simulation of the ship sinking over and over again; in the same vein, I would spend hours drawing a two-page long massive ship, and then sink it, over and over. Closest to OCD ever.

Never Ending Story: Probably the scene where Fantasia is in ruins, and yet they manage to discover the tower; after that, the scene where the Empress gives Bastian the grain of sand, and asks him to recreate the land with his hopes, dreams, and memories. Overall, many of the sad, touching moments. I especially liked the end since I love it when bullies get it stuffed to them.

While I've watched Dawn of the Dead (the original) countless times, I cannot think of a "favorite" scene in particular.
