What is your level of addiction on Civ5:

High: playing the game frequently.
Medium: Normal level of playing, no real addiction.
Low: playing the game rarely.
None: means you had played the game few times then quit.

Pick if you are a newcomer to the series along with the addiction level.

please only vote if you have played the game at least once.

When u go to sleep and ur head keep moving troops to prepare the assault... Its high, isn´t it? :P

Low, familiar to the Civilization series. It would've been 'medium' a couple of months ago. This isn't really an indicator of how much I like the game. I rarely played Civ4 in the last couple of years. I like the games, but I don't play them (or any computer games) avidly.

I find myself in agreement with those who find weaknesses and yet I find that I have a total of many hundreds of hours playing, I have to face it. I am addicted again.

Yeah, me too. I had grown tired of Civ IV, and wasn't playing it as much as I used to. Now, according to Steam, I've played almost 500 hours on Civ V. So, I guess that would classify me as addicted again. Oh well. I can think of worse things to be addicted to.

low I dont like dumbed down games that much.

Well, I think I'm on ''Low''. I don't play way too much since I got a lot of staff to do. Also, I don't play it everyday 'cause I usually say: ''Ugh, I'm way too lazy to begin a Civ game''. xD

But sometimes I think about what strategy should I follow next time I play.

I voted none (I am familiar- since civ2). I did play a bit since the recent patch since that supposedly made the game fun, but I'm still not feeling it. I did get up to 66 hours played (I only had 8 hours played before the patch), but I have no desire to play civ5 anymore. Maybe if a decent mod comes out. The base game just isn't fun to play. I find myself forcing myself to play, and that isn't good.

Low, familiar to the Civilization series. (Civ 3 + 4)

Unfortunately no "one more turn" feeling for me. The game has its nice parts like the early game since last patch.

My level of addiction to Civ V? As of this writing, "low." I'm not getting that "one more turn" feeling I had with other Civ games.

And I've played Civ II and IV.

Low, but it was even lower with Civ IV.

I would say CivIII was my highest of all but it would still rank on low for me. Never such a great fan like you guys.

But they are all good. Don't really care if some people who hate certain game think they speak for the majority. What a pity.

I selected medium, familiar. My addiction would be very high if it were released a year or two ago, but now I have a son, and I'm way more addicted to him ;). I always imagine I'll have time to play in the evening or over the weekend, but I rarely do.

Sadly, I had to vote none.

I really want to like this game but I just can't.

The newest patch fixed some problems but I still find the game horribly dull.

Perhaps I can revise this once they seriously work on the crappy AI and diplomacy.

Until then, it's a virtual paperweight.

I voted none. I played Civ V when it first came out. I tried my best to like it... I played single player, I played online with my brother... and I looked around for mods (not many at the time, and I still don't see very many that are huge projects like Legends of Revolution or Fall From Heaven - I'll give that one some time). I literally could not stop yawning as I played. It's pretty bad when you're yawning as you play a game because it's so dull and such a chore to keep up with. Granted, maybe the patches made things better, but I think I'll just wait for an inevitable expansion and see if that improves the game. Not to mention, I don't even have the time to play anymore.

Lol, I've dreamt about moving troops  . My goodness I'm a sad individual  .

Same here. I used to play Civ4 every day, but as time went on I played less and less and yes, like you, I'd had grown tired of the game. Such blasphemy!! 600+ hours into Civ5 as of this post and yeah, I guess I'm addicted again.

To be honest though, I hardly played Civ5 at all on release. Only game I've ever pre-ordered and to be euphemistic, I wasn't thrilled with it. But the patches (especially 217 so far) have made the game more enjoyable. It's still got some serious flaws I'd like to see corrected, but its definitely become addictive.
