What kind of a driver are you?

Having been on high risk insurance by the time I reached 20 because of speeding tickets, I am now a model driver. I drive the speed limit, obey all the other traffic laws, and drive pretty defensively. I now have great insurance rates and wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm a poor driver. Driving too fast in most circumstances and breaking the "lane laws" with impunity when I get too inpatient. I'm also really hypocritical on the road too. I lambast others who undertake or attempt to skip the queue by forcing their way into another lane whilst at the same time I do the same if I'm late enough.

That said, I've never had an accident, *touches wood*, and I've only been fined for speeding once. I'm no BMW driver or WVM either. This is probably due to having a relatively small engine vehicle. But when I get my new Skoda, I'm gonna be rocking. :smug:

Oh, and I never drink and drive. I don't drink at all if I'm the driver because I'm easily corrupted. I've known friends who do but the British have done quite a good job of stigmatising those who drink and drive. Not to stereotype a whole nation on my experience of just a few people, but this didn't seem to be the case in the US. Perhaps it's because we were out in the sticks and there's nothing but straight roads and trees.

Perhaps it would be 'Other'

I drive the speed limit, in very light traffic a max of 10km/h over it (on the Autobahn).

I'm usually a very defensive/passive driver, being agressive on the street just seem way too much hassle to me. I rather get there a bit later but with my nerves intact :)

Im quite the opposite, i dont remember what i originally said, but im a very aggressive driver and i ALWAYS drive above the speed limit.

Im suprised a cop hasnt cought me yet! :mischief:

I make sure I'm not posing a hazard to myself or others, but as long as I'm doing that I'm always trying to get from Point A to Point B as fast as possible.

hmmm

A. Were missing some options
B. We need to be able to click multiple options

I'm new to driving, and I drive about 7-10 miles over the speed limit on average. I wouldn't call myself reckless either.

sometime i do travel 10-20 km/h more than the speed limit but i think im a reasonably nice and safe driver. Thou i swear at time when im behind wheels.

I like to drive like they do in Barcelona. In the states I drive carefully, but a bit fast. I've never had a speeding ticket though.

I'm a cautious driver.

I have NEVER overtaken or passed a single vehicle.

If I think a certain driving manoeuver will cause hassles for my fellow motorists I don't do it unless I REALLY have to.

Since I last posted in this thread, I've actually slowed down a smidge. I typically go a few mph under the speed limit while travelling on the highway. Adhere to speed limit in town.

I make it a rule to go at least 5 MPH above the speed limit.

That way, the cops round here won't pull you over as it won't make them that much money.

I drive carefully in residential areas, but on the highway I drive very fast, and very aggressively. I usually drive about 80 - 90 mph on the highway (about 20 - 30 mph over the speed limit). I rarely get pulled over, and when I do, I don't get a speeding ticket. My brother is a cop, so that usually gets me off with a warning.

I'm a bad driver. Not reckless, not speedy, just bad.
