For us that disable the in-game music and listen to "somewhat-civ-related" "moody" background music. What do you listen too?

Example, for me, if playing Egypt i listen to Karl Sanders Saurian Meditation. If im warmongering I play Holst The Planets Suite. In general i play Deathspell Omega (black metal) most of the time in the background though.

You? Here we can give tips to eachother.

I like to listen to Lateralus, 10,000 Days and Aenima [albums] by Tool. 10,000 Days in particular suits the Ancient and Classical and Aenima is great for war music.

Also will play some Metallica S&M on occassion

I'm not too particular. I disabled the in game music years ago. I just listen to the local public radio station, which is a mixture of classical music, news, jazz, and on the weekend variety shows. If I don't like what is on, I'll usually put on a symphony CD of one sort or another.

I sometimes forget CIV has music. I almost always play with the sound off. Three or four years ago I tried setting the custom music folder, but it was annoying playing my music through the game because it always stops every time there's a battle or when you go into the city screen.

I now generally play with the TV on in the background, or occasionally with a the radio or a CD playing.

I used to play with the Assassin's Creed II OST. Now I play with the music from Civ V (not just the leader music, but the in-game music as well).

Nothing like a little Barry White to spice things up

"Can't get enough or your love babe" for Boudica or Cathy's diplo music???

There's this Power Metal band called Sabaton, and it's all I listen to when I play civ. What's really awesome is that most of their songs are war-themed, and given my militaristic strategy the music fits like hand in glove :D

I also play with the Civ 5 OST. I especially like the war music during wartime.

I listen to music I listen to normally. Namely, trip hop.

I play Scrabble with someone who knows Katrina's girlfriend!

2 from PWEI for nuclear war

Why didn't they do the music for Watchmen?

Metallica, Garage Days Inc. in general, especially while on a pillage campaign

Early Judas Priest and Iron Maiden for War

Anything KISS for building and the bonus :)

Pantera and Red Hot Chili for Overseas domination

Ronnie James Dio and Ozzy as filler for most other occasions with a little U2 and some 80's hair bands to boot.

And yes the Playlists are "appropriately" (or not) named according to the situation!

Whats worse is my 11 year old can tell what I'm doing according to what music is running loose in the background. He's actually asked me who I was at war with.........to damn funny:lol:

I usually turn off the sound and log into Pandora and let the radio; gangsta rap is enjoyable for warfare lol
