What Kinds of Swords do you have?

Seeing the thread about knives made me think about swords. I sword fight a bit (every Thursday during school that is), but I don't actually have a sword myself yet. I want to get an 18th century French infantry Sword, since I found a place you can get them for only like $125.
Since I've seen people mention swords and sword fighting here before, I ask you what kinds do you guys have, or want?

My father owns a shamshir (curved middle eastern sword).

I have two samurai swords and one regular broadsword.

I'd like to locate my grandfather's swords, passed down from many generations since his family's nobility....things like the coat of arms and swords and the like have been hid from the Russians, Nazis, and Soviets, so I know they're still over in Poland, somewhere.


Edit: I'd also like to get my own sword, perhaps see if I can have a design or a flag put into the base of the blade.

I'm a competitive fencer so I have quite a few "blades" (as we call them). Nothing ornamental, just sport's equipment. I have five Foils and two Sabres.

those foils are a b*tch to get whacked with when you not wearing any protective clothing, i friend of mine got hit in the neck with one, after that we didn't let scott use the foil any more we just use bamboo sticks wrapped in duct tape...

Yeah, I coach a group of 13yos and their always at each other's throats as soon as I hand out the gear. It's a miracle that no one's been hurt yet.

Yeah, those little plastic swords are sharp at the tips...they put those in the cherries in my drinks. Sometimes I have mini-sword fights right there in the Howard Johnson's restaurant.

Only one around my place is my father's sword, just the standard lil ones all army officers had, nothing historical or fancy.

No swords yet, but I would like to start some form of collection one day - probably during my mid-life crisis or somet. Just 20 or so years to go!

Going to start fencing lessons after summer as well. Or at least I hope to.

Bah, swords are old fashioned. When my father became an officer his father bought him a gun, and if I ever become an officer I expect to get one as well.
