it seems you've been misinformed: I can think of german words for wife (Ehefrau, Frau, Gattin) and all of these are feminine :) The classification of things as male/feminine/neuter sure do generate a few problems for non-native speakers (same with me and french...)

Perhaps he means "girl"?

das Madchen?

I refuse to vote until you make a thread where Danish is included (Danish is spoken by 5,5 million people, Norwegian (which you included :thumbdown) is only spoken by 4,8 million).

Would like (someday !) to learn basics in : every language

With about 5000 languages in the world now, that might be a problem. Though it would surely be fun to know the basics of as many languages as possible.

Would it be better to ask a mod to just add the languages to the poll insted of complaining or creating a new one?

PS: Would a mod please add Danish and Italian to the polls? Thanks.

But there are already 20 options in the poll, so the only way to add Danish and Italian would be to remove some other languages, but besides Norwegian, which is the obvious language to remove :p, I don't know which other language should be removed...

And by the way, complaining is fun! :) You should try it.
