We had a similar poll before, with a little more options actually.

For me:
Native: Romanian
First Foreign Language: English
Second Foreign Language, can understand but very hardly speak: German. I used to know it pretty good....
Third Foreign Language: French. Can understand and answer in a very bad grammar. My accent is good though.
Learned "by ear": Italian. This was so easy for me, I've never opened an Italian learning book in my life, yet I understand it perfectly, and can speak it, a little bit.

English by birth and upbringing, it is the language I use most frequently.

Spanish from my (LDS) mission, I still use it fairly often in my job.

Small amounts of Arabic and Quechua, not enough by far to call myself fluent, but I intend to study Arabic further.

No Persian?

French and English, in that order.

I can read most of the Roman-derived languages and catch 25%-50% of what is being said, like any other who speaks French, Spanish, Italian, and Romanian as a mother language, and I can pretend that I understand German and Cantonese.

I spend years learning English and then went to Edinburgh, just to realize that nobody speaks it!

 that's why i said in the original post that i speak a *form* of english. it may be true of many countries that dialects vary so wildly that foreign learners have no chance of understanding local speech?

What languages are you fluent in?
English and Spanish.

Written, spoken, or both?
Both. I can write and talk in both English and Spanish.

Which one's your mother tongue?
Spanish. Unfortunately, I prefer English since it's what I mostly speak and hear during the day, but I still practice spanish everyday since I live with my parents.

Where did you learn the others?
English - Went to a bilingual school in my home country. Picked up the slang here.

Which ones do you use regularly?
Both. English a bit more (since I go to school).

Are there any that would you like to learn?
French and Italian.

I have my hopes up for French, but not so much for Italian.
Four languages is too much to handle for someone who isn't European/Asian!

English is my native, I'm currently learning spanish and could probably hold my own.
