Are there any that would you like to learn?
German (working on it, yet failing), Japanese, Arabic, Latin, and Russian. But it'll be too hard for me to do...

English: Spoken, Written
Polish: Spoken, kind of able to read it
Spanish: kind of able to speak it - enough to get my way around, Written

I however refuse to learn French on principle!!

j/k?

I'm a native French speaker.

I can speak English, but in no way could I write or read it.

Spoiler :
Anyone who didn't see the joke can slap himself (or herself)... I studied English at school, and got good at it because it picked my interest as I needed it for games

I studied German for 3 years, but I've forgotten most it.

According to the poll, French is rightfully at the second place :D

You are on principle against culture and the elevation of the mind to a new level of understanding of the universe?

Dutch, English, German, Portuguese.. in that order of fluency. I am reasonable at Spanish (sometimes becoming Portuñol), and all the years of French I had to take, did not pay out.

The translation of those French philosophers and theorists required for elevation into English has negated the need to know French in order to elevate the mind to a new level of universal understanding, thank you. Besides, after Camus, it's pretty much all bull____.

You lost so much in translation... Beside, it's not only that. It's a well known fact that the use of the French language activate some parts of your brain, and will make you smarter, while English only make you dumb. That's what I meant about "elevation of the mind to a new level of understanding of the universe": the language itself can do that, not simply reading what has been said by French people of the past.

wow, Steph, that's absolutely amazing. But where did you learn that? o_o?

Well, the simple fact that you, and English speaker, who do not speak French asks the question is a clear proof that English makes you dumb and prevent you to reach such level of enligthnment, while as for a French speaker like me its obvious, is an evidence the French language is greatly superior to the English one.

English, Swedish, Finnish, bad German, in that order.
