I've been interested in older films lately. And I've been watching the old geezer channel. err I mean AMC (american cable channel)

Watched High Plains Drifter last night. Very cool movie. This movie was made around the year I was born. Clint Eastwood in his first western as a director.

Watched Glory tonight. Not as good as the first couple of times I have seen the movie, but still a good movie.

I'm just not into new movies lately. But I have a list of old movies I want to catch up on. Though I'm too lazy to go to the video store (and I'm not sure if they have them).

Movies I want to see: 7 samuraii (classic I should have seen by now), magnificent 7- remake of the first film into a western, high noon, bad day at black rock. Those are the westerns I want to see.

There are so many other classic films I need to see. I just don't have time to see them all.

High Plains Drifter is one of my favourite Western. It's seems to be a little underrated, as it is virtually unknown over here. I'll probably get my head ripped off for it, but i didn't find 7 samurai very exciting or interesting. The pace is just too slow, and this comes from somebody who likes the pace of Blade Runner. ;)

I saw the second Pirates of the Caribbean film today.

I am utterly, utterly disappointed. No real spark, no imagination, and my love that is Captain Jack Sparrow just seemed...dull.

I did like Davy Jones though.

Completely agree. They seemed to have decided to ditch the whole "parody of cheese pirate stories" thing, which made the first one entertaining. Heaven knows why. If the writers are short on inspiration, they should pick up a copy of Monkey Island. ;)

I re-watched one of the Pink Panther movies yesterday and it was as good as i remembered it to be.

The 300 well actually that was the one I saw the last 3 times I went to the theatar.

On DVD I watched Pumping Iron though thats more of a documentary than a movie.

Open Season- Proof that computer animated movies are not declining in quality.

Meet the Robinsons- Proof that they are.

300- Blood & Boobs. My kinda film and not my kinda film at the same time!

Wild Hogs- The old men still have a couple more good years until they're "over the hill."

Blades of Glory with Will Ferrel and John Heder. It was hilarious and I want to see it again.

Dude. You got it backwards.

Casino Royale, the latest James Bond flick. I liked it, a darker, edgier Bond.

*scratches Chukchi's tummy* :)

Yeah, that was a good one. I loved the ending where he coined his classic 'Bond, James Bond.'

A line that cracked me up was when he ordered a martini and the bartender asked if he wanted it shaken or stirred. He replied something like, "Do I look like I give a damn?"

What's that about?
An archaeologist finds a tomb in Jerusalem with a skeleton inside that appears to be crucified, so they believe it to be Christ. Thoughout the film the archaelologist and a priest that the Vatican sent try to prove that the body is or isn't Christ, but they have problems from the Palestinians becuase the Israelis won't give the body to the Catholic church without recognising an undevided Jerusalem as the capital of Isreal, while the Palestinians want East Jerusalem as their capital.

Saw 300, OK. Glad the rape victim killed the rapist.

Saw the new Bond flick, me like.

But with such a costly production couldn't hey have made a better effort at correctly depicting the CPR effort, I mean with all those special effects in the film would it have been to much to ask if the chick could have inflated and deflated her lungs, instead it looked like a guy frenchkissing a corpse.

Yes yes I whine, but it could have been practically perfect if it wasn't for silly things like that.
