Does anyone know what the sampled tune starting ~3'17 is? I think I was led to believe it's an old Russian (or Soviet on broader terms) folk tune but I've no idea if even that is true.
I know the opening excerpt is "Katyusha", but I don't recognize the closer.

For predictable reasons, "We Were Born in a Great Hour" montages have exploded over the past few days, but frankly there are so many other songs we can use to stick it to Pukin that aren't the anthem of literal fascists.

Thanks. That can be at least the basis of my continuous research then :)
I also dig up Ukrainian national anthem with lyrics and as most often for national anthems it won't be replacing anything in support of unilateral disarmament. Familiar tune from sports but I had no idea about the lyrics.

Aye, the hardest part is finding a recording that covers all the verses.

That's korny. This started as sort of a fan remix but ended up for release as it was and is so good. Dutch-Irish coop in practise.

Within Temptation - Sinéad (VNV Nation Remix)

I know the opening excerpt is "Katyusha", but I don't recognize the closer.

After listening to roughly a dozen versions, some violently different with others, of Katyusha I feel safe to say it's Katyusha all over. Done very much to my liking as well.
Funny thing also that I knew these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katyusha_rocket_launcher Katyushas but I had no idea where they got their name. I could've solved the riddle in few seconds anytime in the past ~35 years if I'd said - Dad, will you check out this song, it has an interesting sampling of something old?. Huaaah :( What makes it even more stupid from my part is that I bought that album while still living with parents and I should still have the vinyl.

I like Tilo's part the most - reminds me of Cavill in The Witcher.

MONO INC. - Children Of The Dark (feat. Joachim Witt, Tilo Wolff und Chris Harms)

A lost profession in Ukraine by Russian advance in the coast but this also reminds me of myself queueing to VNV Nation's first gig in Helsinki somewhere around 2007. In that pack of people my street cred was a bit limited but on the other hand I apparently didn't look like one who needs papers to prove I'm over 20 so my waiting time was only a fraction of the average

Oddly enough that hair-style never did catch on with the general public here.
I'll celebrate the day I will not start a day with Ukrainian stuff due to global politics.

Azotti - Butterfly (Original Mix)

meanwhile let's celebrate youth. The original is fine, too but this is... different

Rick Springfield - Celebrate Youth (Dance Mix)

daily FV. My dose exceeds 1.

Funker Vogt - Under Deck

When something just is ballsy and good in general.

Funker Vogt - Fortunes of War

The essence of synthpop. And McCluskey & Humphries are still rockin' - ehh, synthpoppin.

OMD - Pandora's Box

Impartial view from Switzerland (sort of).

Namnambulu - Memories

Always a good starter & a wake-up call. Those lacking dynamic range due to gear and/or environment should turn volume down at first, slowly increasing it from when the blonde sits down (~2'10) up to 11 at roughly 2'45. Then you'll get to properly enjoy the gazillion tiny micro-orgasms with the blond later on.

Lord of the Lost feat. Formalin - Raining Stars

then we can join in with the turtles in paradise

Menno de Jong - Turtle Paradise

and daily FV as the last one. Apart from the original Blue Monday very few are better than this. One for the neighbours to hear.

Funker Vogt - The Last (Maschinen Mix)

Day of contrast. Not alike the yesterday's to become epic match RM - PSG.

VNV Nation - Beloved. Both superb in very different ways.

@ Gothic meets Klassik (Live Orchestral)
