I gave Bones of Man (2016) by Equador another listen this morning. Equador are Henry Binns from Zero 7 and Bo Bruce, with whom I'm unfamiliar. UKers might recognize her from The VoiceUK in 2012, in which she evidently nailed Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" and made it to the finale. Binns and Bruce are married now. It's not bad. Solid mid-table post-downbeat electronic pop. If you're a fan of Zero 7 like I am, you should definitely take it out for a spin. If you're only interested in the cream of the genre, it probably won't blow your skirt up. This is probably not more than pleasant aural wallpaper, but, hey, sometimes pleasant aural wallpaper is just what you need. I'm adding "Blood" to my Liked Songs list, and maybe "Avalon." (Yeah, f it, I went ahead and added "Avalon." Why be precious, y'know?)

I recently rediscovered another electropop band that I used to listen to a lot and then kind of forgot about: Ultraísta (2012) by Ultraísta. I'd forgotten how great they are. Here's "Static Light." It should go without saying, I suppose, that I recommend good headphones for the full effect. I see they released a new album in 2020. I'm not sure I've listened to that.
