Needle drops for superhero fans: In a bizarre coincidence, a couple of hours after talking about Jessica Jones and Luke Cage over in the 'Superheroes' thread, I went out to run an errand, put my "Liked Songs" on shuffle mode, and the first two songs played were "Thousand Eyes" (2015) by Of Monsters and Men and "Brothers on the Slide" (1974) by Cymande.

"Thousand Eyes" was used in a promo for season 1 of Jessica Jones, with some animation that evoked Michael Gaydos' artwork from the Alias comic. I was a little disappointed the song wasn't used for the show's opening credits. I thought it was a great choice for the character, and hearing it still makes me think of her. "Brothers on the Slide" was used in an episode of Luke Cage, I think in a scene where he was making a slo-mo, cool guy entrance, maybe into a party or nightclub scene. Luke Cage of course was a wink-and-nod to '70s 'Blaxploitation' movies, and this song has a strong Curtis Mayfield vibe to it.

I remember some clip I cannot find on YT. It was a pseudo-apocalyptic setting where a guy gets a musical instrument (a guitar) from some goddess and goes on to making lots of money. In the end he's admitted into some rich party and "sells out" for which he is somehow destroyed by this goddess. It had words like "you better play, by, play" and I think the costumes included some green and gold for either him or the goddess. Can anyone help me out?
