I have heard a song where they put all of those (just the Union version of Battle Cry of Freedom though) into the one song, and the tune really didn't change. I mean they did change it a bit but they were able to launch directly from singing Battle Hymn of the Republic to a part of Battle Cry of Freedom without changing anything.
